This was a match very difficult to describe! Some very careless defending, especially by Laurie Walker who must have been watching last season's videos, threatened to hand the game to Marlow on a plate. Luke Coulson, however was able to work the wide open spaces on the right wing, and City found their shooting boots to cancel out the free gifts to the visitors with a superb second half attacking display. In the end we deserved to win, but it was too close for comfort earlier on. The weather conditions did not help. We need to cut out the passing across the box, and Laurie needs to improve his judgement as to where the opposition is. Apart from that, welcome returns to Bradley Bubb and Marlon Jackson, who both bagged a brace. Fleet, who had a good game in defence, also scored. The best of the goals however was the neat curler from Kynan Isaac, who totally deceived the visitors' goalie. Let us hope that we get a good tie in the next round, when the National Premier teams join the fray.
