Sorry to see them go, but they will certainly be remembered for being one of the more 'footballing' sides in the Hellenic League and they nurtured many players who have gone on to higher Steps, either with OCFC or elsewhere (e.g. Felipe Barcelos, Mark Bell, James Dobson, Mark Janes, James Knight, Conor O'Donagh, to name but a few.).
Oxford City/Quarry Nomads: Played: 605; Won: 290; Drew: 65; Lost: 250.
Promoted from Hellenic Division One(West) after finishing third in 2008/09. Hellenic League Champions 2011/12. Hellenic League Cup (Bluefin Trophy) Winners 2012/13.

Does anyone have any particular fond memories of Nomads?
I think my most remembered match was at the end of March in their Championship-winning season when they demolished Ardley 7-1 at Marsh Lane when Ardley had gone into the game also pressing for top-spot. Albi Skendi (I wonder what happened to him?) thundered in a couple of goals: he did hit the ball very hard.

I particularly remember a 10-0 thumping of Bracknell with Mcdonagh hitting a five timer
I wonder what did happen to Albi Skendi, hmm...

I also rather liked the 'oddity' of City playing Nomads in the OSC quarter-finals in 09/10. Jonah played for Nomads on that night if I remember rightly and, though City did win (3-2) in the end, Nomads pushed them all the way!

Sub for City this afternoon as Albi Skendi replaces Luke Ruddick.. That really is a most peculiar coincidence as I had absolutely no idea at all of his return to Oxford when I mentioned him earlier in the thread!!!
