OM preview HERE. A team in a hurry and flying high (going full-time?): 22 years since City last played them.

Brilliant result! If you think back two months, we'd had an awful September, kept losing away, looking like we'd face another long relegation battle this season... who would have thought then that we could lose Pato and Sinclair, plus Joe Deeney, and improve? A very good cup run, still in the Trophy, and play-off form in the league! Mark Jones has done a superb job with a small squad.

Agree....Mark and his team and Justin has done a superb job.

What a tremendous result that was.
Thought after 20 minutes that the game was only going one way. They seemed to have the beating of us, and although we ventured forwards a fair bit (To which Mr Julian in the Billericay goal was mystified every time why the linesman didn't flag) we barely tested the keeper.
The match turned almost as soon as we got the equaliser... A great finish from Wiltshire, and two goals in the first 13 minutes of the second half stunned them. Personally, I'd have said that the second was an own goal as it seemed to be headed past the keeper by one of his own defenders, but Zac was insistent with us after the game that it was his goal, so I guess we'll just give it to him!
Another big mention to Kingy in goal as well, who once again pulled off a number of superb saves, keeping us in it, especially in the 93rd minute when Robinson looked to save a point for 'ricay. Very re-assuring to hear Jonah say in his Post Match Interview that we are going to try and get him tied down on a new contract asap given what a player he is turning out to be for us!

Didn't go wasn't well and believe me that means I wasn't well, for those that have seen me turn up to away games half dead. Hope to be back next week but that's up to the Doctor.
Great result. Said King would improve from last season he has and you do need a keeper in Goal who knows his defence. His overall communication has improved imensly, never doubted his ability, also Wiltshire when he gets to his best, which he isn't far away is an outstanding utility player.
TBF September could have gone either way the results so close and decisions going against us, it doesn't have to reverse itself either sometimes you can go through a whole season with a hard luck story. We know that we've been there at both ends of the table.
But Jonah has had to make decisions, very difficult ones at times, For that he deserves credit and continued support.
We have beaten teams far beyond our Budget, Torquay and now Billy.to name a few. And a draw at Tranmere when a last minute goal gave them the replay which brought in much needed funds with the televised replay, where too many games and their quality first half was a bridge too far. Although our second half performance, where we matched them was a credit to the the management and players who must have been hurting with our exit from the competition. I know I was.
We however well and truly put that to bed with a mauling of Chelmsford In the Trophy.
We have a long season still ahead, not halfway through yet, let's keep the winning run going for as long as possible.
Many things on my Christmas wish list Nombe till end of season etc.

Get well soon!
Yes, keeping Nombe for a while would be great, he's a real asset. But we all know how it is with loanees, they can go suddenly when you're starting to depend on them. With Frankie gone, we do need more defensive cover. Still, we seem to be scoring goals for fun at the moment so despite letting a few in, we are getting the results. Long may that continue!

So fair bit lower than the around 1150-1400 they usually get, though higher than games against WSM (790) and East Thurrock (832) on a Tuesday night
Friendly in town (especially at the country pub like Chequers on the High St) and some good pubs in general - the Billericay Craft Ale Bar really deserves a mention.
Billericay Town FC though has a very 'above their station' feel. Queue to get tickets before entering through the turnstiles - no real complaints there, but...£3 for an average (but very sub-standard for their coveted league club desires) programme and ridiculously priced burgers and food in general - think £6 for a bacon and burger mix!
