While the damage that the red card caused is irreversible, I have the utmost respect for any referee that has the balls to ring up a manager and apologise for any incorrect decision after the match.

Yup, this is the kind of thing we need to see in order for fans to have some faith in officials. We all understand that mistakes can be made over the course of a game, but we've quickly lost faith in the appeal system which is supposed to rectify them. A referee who is willing to admit a mistake and help undo as much of the damage as they can is a good referee. The lino who actually flagged for the penalty can still do one though.

Agree with the comments above. Well done to the ref. Make the most of that because I rarely praise officials, unless they are overwhelming bias in our favour Something for bed and breakfast crew to mull over: At our Gaff, Early Doors.. Woking cup: Chippy winning goal at home: Billy At Home:

Well, with only 2 senior defenders fit and a back 4 with only one player even in their correct position, I think we can all agree that we were doomed from the start today.

At least we did score two goals there. Not many other clubs have scored as many on that ground this season, surely?

Not many other positives to hand, unfortunately!

Shame about the number of goals, but the result was probably not a surprise...after all, City have never won a match in Devon.

What happened in the first half happened... Whilst it would have been easy to totally buckle in the second half already being 5-0 down, it has to be said that the players did at least fight and showed at times what they were about. Just a shame that the damage was already done.
Stayed down in Torquay last night and has to be said that despite the result, it was an excellent weekend.
