There's a great bit of 'trivia' in the proper (non-OM!) preview on the City site, with this being "...a trip to one of just two cities to host both County Championship cricket and National League South football this season". It's got me stumped as to which is the other city that does both?

Gloucestershire play in County Div 2 but they are not playing National League South football in Gloucester currently.

Gloucestershire play in County Div 2 but they are not playing National League South football in Gloucester currently. Yes, I thought of them initially, but Gloucestershire haven't played cricket in Gloucester for a long while, I think they restrict their matches to Bristol and Cheltenham.

I might just let this run a bit longer before revealing the answer

I might just let this run a bit longer before revealing the answer This has really got me thinking, so... The cities with teams in National South are: Bath, Chelmsford, Gloucester, (Oxford), St Albans and Truro. Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cornwall are Minor Counties, leaving Chelmsford (Essex), Bath (Somerset) and Gloucester (Gloucestershire). Somerset play all their games at Taunton now (a shame as Bath, Weston, Glastonbury, Frome etc were great grounds) and Gloucestershire play at Bristol and Cheltenham (College). So is it a catch question???

How about Richmond? It is also a City.
Richmond is one of the venues for Middlesex County Cricket Club.
Hampton & Richmond play in National League South.

Richmond a city??? Hardly more than a district of London, though with Sandwell & Dudley being nominated for city status a few years back...nothing surprises me!
Somerset play some games at Bath. Ref Gloucs in previous posts, as well as Bristol, play occasional games at Moreton-in-Marsh.

Somerset haven't played a County Championship match at The Rec. in Bath for seven or eight years now, and it's even longer since Gloucestershire played at Batsford Road (M-i-M), so I'm still stuck on a city that will have a County Championship match this season. Will just have to wait for 'Logistics' to put us out of our misery!!!

Not since 2011. A shame as it was a great ground to watch cricket!

Well, I'm not restricting venue to County Championship games only! Cup games, T20s or in Moreton-in-Marsh's case, Sunday League...but yes, years back tbf!

Having read the replies above, I feel that the answer that I was looking for is going to be rather controversial. I'll leave you to decide though!
Other than Chelmsford, I was going for the general 'London' as the second City. The wikipedia 'outline' of London would include both Middlesex at Lords and Surrey at the Oval, as well hosting Wealdstone, Dulwich, Welling and perhaps some others that I may have forgotten about!
As this seems to have gone down well, maybe I'll try and get some more trivia in my previews!

Richmond is a City in the USA.
It is also in a London Borough so could be considered to be part of London.
