Does anybody know how to speak Essex? There are some really juicy-looking arguments going on amongst Chelmsford fans and players but I can barely understand a word.

Rod can translate: Blimey, well 'arsh or whatever...in it? (P.S. I'm surprised anyone wants to be a referee these days. Week in and week out they are (allegedly!!!) the cause of most teams' defeats)

Rod can translate: The comments about him being a dad are quite interesting considering that it was apparently his son who caused the fighting amongst the Chelmsford supporters after the full-time whistle.

Can we pin this video, it's a real treasure:
Personally I think the officials do a sterling job in this league... I will get my coat.....

Some Chelmsford fans on their forum seem to think Stringer’s son was right to throw a punch (alledged) as it was a reaction to them abusing his dad
So I wonder if they can explain why 10 minutes earlier he came round to the away terrace offering us all out for a fight, utterly pathetic.
And Stringer seems to blame the officials above everything, our second penalty was admittedly an absolute joke , but our second goal was correctly given, Benyon was flagged but stopped with his hands up, the linesman put the flag down and and the referee correctly kept the whole move flowing
There can be no argument on their red either, a lunge completely out of frustration which was rightly punished with a straight red

How does Stringer Jr's [alleged] behaviour fit into the complex fabric of the mythical 'Non-League Etiquette'?

As a CCFC supporter I wish to disassociate myself from the actions of a minority of supporters as are a majority of our fan base. The manager's son and his mates have received a ground ban for the rest of the season and hopefully we will not see them again as we do not wish for our Stringer to have his contract extended into the next season. As far as one of your poster's claims that City supporters were supportive of Stringer Juniors actions this is untrue. There is only one poster on our messageboard that condoned it & he was reprimanded by other supporters for that viewpoint. I know the officials were poor but I have seen worse and in no way did it change the course of the game. We were poor and deserved to lose. Out team is too pedestrian and a majority of our fans want to see changes to the hoofball we have endured all season. The incidents your supporters witnessed by the thugs concerned are not reflective of our fanbase as we generally have a good reputation for our fans behaviour both home and away. As a volunteer steward over the far side of the ground as per usual I made my way back to the main stand side after the final whistle to hand back my radio and witnessed the final stages of the incident and thought the professional stewards handed the situation very well. It was good to chat with a couple of supporters at the end of the game including Mark N. Good luck for the rest of the season, apart from in your home game against us!
