4-4 FT. City win 6-5 on penalties. Great game, dangerous Ascot side with a very good goalkeeper.

I hope there will be a report of City Youth team's success in the OM soon (nothing on-site yet). They were very quick to report on OU's defeat by Bristol Rovers in the same competition last week.

The players did yet again exceptionally well playing their 5th game in the competition, after going in front in the first two minutes then falling behind 2-1 in the first half after the hosts threw everything at us,we then stormed back in the second half and looked fitter and had more in the tank and we showed showed great desire and character to take hold of the game and win 2-3, Horatio Hirst,Kei Chamberlain and Sam Kemp with the goals and be in the hat for tomorrow's draw in the second round, hopefully a Championship side at home for the Club or Newcastle Away for the players, but you never know we will wait and see...we will keep our feet on the ground and keep doing the right things and see what we do as a squad and team.

Got a relatives copy of yesterday's OM today as refuse to buy it anymore due to exactly this lack of reporting on the club unless of course if it is bad news then it is half or full page, did you see the tiny token piece on their success, I nearly missed it. Nothing like the local Oxford paper liking success at all clubs in Oxfordshire

It didn't make it to the website at all, which, as a distant supporter, is all I get to see. Very poor.

Are many/any City Youth involved in the Second Round of the FA County Youth Cup for Oxfordshire next Saturday (shown as a 2.00 p.m. kick-off against Berks & Bucks at Carterton)? Winners to play Nottinghamshire in December.

Ah, thanks for that, I thought that might be the case but wasn't sure. Another team that goes unreported in the press? I hadn't spotted until yesterday on the FA site that they'd played (and won) a first round match already.
