For those who'd not already noticed, Mark Bell donned the blue-and-white hoops again in Nomads' match against Ardley last Saturday.

I'd spotted about Michael Pook being signed by Hungerford Town on their website: a good catch for them. Hadn't seen anything about Andy Ballard being linked to Chesham though...certainly their site is quiet on that one.

Viv did very well at Boston, where our good first half performance was rudely interrupted by the half time whistle! On another tack, a question for oldwhitehouse hoop: who was the ex City player who trialled for Tamworth on Saturday?

Agree with that exile, very promising forward. It was Kayden Jackson, was on loan to us from Swindon. Don't think they retained him, played the first half for Tamworth with trialists on Saturday.

On another tack, a question for oldwhitehouse hoop: who was the ex City player who trialled for Tamworth on Saturday? Like the boy said, it was Jackson. Looking for something more concrete apparently, I do wish we had something to offer him because a very promising youngster, IMO. And I'm sure Fordy has spoken highly of him. Viv has great ability but needs to learn to pass it more, but when your trying to impress scouts you can get a little carried away, it worked though !

Not to surprised, heard a rumor at the United game that Didcot have put in decent offer and we had quite a long chat with him after the game. He simply didn't want another season like the last one where he traveled most of the country to spend his saturday afternoon sat on a bench. Which is fair enough. Everyone can see he didn't play enough last season and should be thanked for staying as long as he did when others might have walked sooner.
Never know he might be tempted back if we get a bad injury or issue with one of our current defenders, especially as Didcot are playing some way below his level, he easily has the ability to hold his own in the conference North.
The other thing he brings is goals, he came closest to scoring against United from a corner, another thing we are going to miss I fear.
Good Luck Adam!

Ditto: disappointed, but not surprised: sportsmen of his age need to be playing, not warming a bench. It is difficult for a manager, though, you have to cover the important positions in case of injury etc., and someone is always going to have to travel a long distance simply to end up, very often, being a spectator. Keeping the whole squad happy is not a job I'd envy anyone!
