Tickets for the replay are now available to buy online HEREThe club have been required to segregate the match, therefore tickets have been split into home and away - please double check you're buying the right kind of ticket! Naturally this matchday will run very differently to the average game and the club will release details of arrangements for things like parking over the next few days. For anybody not wishing to purchase tickets online, there will be a small number of physical tickets available for purchase directly from the club. We'll inform everybody as soon as those become available, but for most people online tickets will be by far the best option. The online tickets will be working on a barcode which you will receive by email- this can then be either printed or scanned directly from your phone screen. So, get your tickets. Get your mates their tickets. Get your cat a ticket. Make this day amazing.

Hi there.Tranmere fan exiled in Bicester here. Hope you fill the place, we are very lucky to get a 2nd crack. Can't believe how low you are in your league after seeing the display at Prenton Park. Quick question for your fans- what's the beer/catering situation at your place? Is your social club a warm and friendly place for away fans? Cheers

Yes, the social club with bar is nice and friendly, but unfortunately the police have advised fan segregation, which means only one lot of supporters will get in there. Seems a shame given how well we all seemed to get on last Saturday -- I'm sure there would be no trouble, we just want to welcome you as you did for us. There is also a tea bar serving burgers, etc. Perhaps they will let a franchise in for a big match like this--who knows? It's difficult to estimate the attendance when it's on TV and United are also playing. Last time we had a First Round replay at home we had about 1150, and that was against a team with very little support, but quite a few United fans came along instead. Any number above that puts real pressure on our facilities and parking, so I hope most Rovers fans come on a coach!

That is a real shame if it is the case. Zero risk of any trouble but the police still decide to spoil the fun of fans socialising over a beer before hand. May be odd coach or two but many tranmere fans based south and will travel to this.

As Rijs says, last R1r at home pulled in just a few short of 1200, and the queues at the turnstiles took quite some time to navigate, already having had to park markedly further from the ground compared with usual. I think that k.o. was held up for 15 minutes to let all/most get into the ground. With OUFC away on the same night that will cut down a bit on some of the locals, but I'm sure it's going to be a pretty big crowd (maybe a record?), so there are bound to be some logistical 'difficulties'. It's a real shame about the segregation as it does put a dampener on what could/should be a really good evening for ALL the supporters.

£13.20 Inc booking fee. That's nearly as much as Slough or St Albans away! 😁 Hope Brian can work a scanner! 😁 Especially being on TV, can't see Tranmere bringing many more than 200...oh and if City fail to beat Rovers, it buggers up our trip up to Merseyside and Birkenhead in January! 😉

We (Tranmere) took 465 to Forest Green on a Tuesday night a few weeks ago so I'd expect a similar number for this game. I'm really looking forward to visiting your ground. Presume the only way to get back to Oxford railway station is a taxi? Could anyone recommend a place to get picked up that might not be caught up in traffic? Any good taxi firms? Thanks in advance.

Yes and 671 to Northampton for one of your first away games back in the FL! Think the TV will take a couple of hundred off, so will stick with 217! 😉 There is the X13 bus back to the city centre - takes around 15 mins and the bus stop being at the end of Marsh Lane near the Marston shops (if there aren't still roadworks!) about 6-7 min walk from ground. Into the city centre, you'll have a brisk 10-15 min walk to the station. Recommend drinking in Oxford City centre - loads of decent pubs. 14 or 14A from virtually outside the Lamb & Flag on St Giles will take you outside OCFC (14A) or 5 mins walk away (14). From Lamb & Flag in centre to Marsh Lane is around 10-15 mins max!😉

Don't know what time train you have but...Royal Taxis ok and pretty quick! As expensive as Oxford is, taxis are quite quick and cheap...in contrast to Shrewsbury or Cheltenham, where you are told next available is 4pm...when calling at 1.30pm! 😂

Any recommendations for a pub close to the ground? Looks like we won't be able to join you in your club alas, due to plod thinking all football fans are potential trouble.

Just after an hour after going on sale just over 25O tickets sold. Told this last night at the game. They went on sale after the game... After the game on the train home Mark said this, only repeating what he told me. Not sure where he got this from you'll have to ask him. I make no apology for saying at the game because I was under the impression he had heard it there. But obviously not. But please feel free to discuss it with him.

Nothing really near the ground. Red Lion in Old Marston village, around 15mins walk away If you refer to my previous post, as said, advise drinking in the centre and then getting 14 or 14A bus (from Magdalen St or St Giles) to ground. Every half hour basically!

For any Tranmere fans anxious about pre-match drinks, you'll be getting your own bar area at the ground!

TRIVIA CORNER...
GOOD NEWS! Oxford City have not lost an FA Cup tie n November 20th in the last hundred years! They beat Hampstead Town 3-0 in 1920, and drew 0-0 (at the Manor) in 1971 in one of the (many) replays against Alvechurch.
BAD NEWS! City's (equal) biggest FA Cup defeat was on Nov. 20th in 1909 when they lost 9-1 away against New Brompton (three years before they renamed themselves Gillingham).
So the omens are good and bad for next Tuesday...COYH.

I assume we hope for/expect a record attendance. What's the existing record for Marsh Lane? I'm sure it'll be a great crowd, though unlikely to get near to the White House record of 9756 , that must have been quite a sight!
