Excellent Goal by Merson, but Joe will be on his case Saturday:

Good to see these OWHH: thanks.
Whilst very much appreciating Mick Livesey for posting on the Forum about 'the way forward', I do, as someone who now lives many miles from Oxford, like to see what is happening on the footballing front at Marsh Lane and am rather disappointed that there is less in terms of previews; items about forthcoming games; and match reports on the Home Page of the new site. Should we have to be checking, directly or indirectly via a forum-link, the sports section of the OM website to see what's on?
Anyway, thanks again OWHH for the thread.

Thanks Chris, hoping to travel to the game tomorrow. My left leg has been better and was strapped up at slough,it's better now, just a bit worried about the weather hope it's not too bad.
Mick is trying his best, like he said in order to attract money he has to do what he's paid for and promote... I'm a handful for him when I'm well and on the terraces 😂.... It's just as I've said, as we have seen On the other thread people were there before him and are prepared to help... We have some very talented young people around who were doing their best and would no doubt help out again if asked..
My son just looked at the main site and describe it as 'Complicated'. Yes, you must have your promotions in,but you are right, it must be kept as simple as possible and have access to all the team news concerning the football club.. It's teething problems that Mick will hopefully sort out in time.. He's asked for feed back and provided his contract details etc..
Oh Dear, Jefferson Louis against us again tomorrow,I prefer when he plays for us 😃

A very useful point today on an absolute grim day at Clarence Park.
Not a lot to describe in all honesty, but neither side really did anything to win it so a fair result

I can remember in the 1970s the games between the two sides ending in either draws or the odd goal either way.. Chris might know from his stats..

The Oxford Mail report mentioned none of the three chances City had, the two in first half one past the post by Zac. The deflected shot which was just sneaking in and the Fleet shot that whistled wide in second half. Also mentions that Struggling St Albans in the title who won only at Bath last weekend 3-0....!!

Strange how our memories play tricks...I'd not really realised just how often we'd played St Albans in the past! Saturday was the 126th game between the clubs of which we'd won 50, they'd won 48 and there have been 28 draws. Oh, and just to show it's not just my memory that has its senior moments OWHH, we lost 0-6 in 1970 and 0-8 in 1971 at Clarence Park!! .
