O.K. So the third, and positively the last, quiz. I've run out of ideas...and maybe we'll be let out a bit more after Sunday?!!
A bit harder - probably - because I've had to dig deeper. Anyway...
[1] Which club have Oxford City played the most often?
[2] Which of City's many goalkeepers over the years played the most matches for the 1st XI?
[3] John Woodley, who featured in the other two quizzes, played over 900 matches: no other player has come within 300 of that total. However, two players have passed the 500 match total for the 1st XI. Who were they?
[4] Which City player went on to become the Chairman of the Football Association (and, allegedly, the reason that Brian Clough was never made England manager!!)
[5] Of all the strikers/centre-forwards/goalscorers who have played more than 50 games for City, Les Fox holds an unique record. What is it?
[6] Which club inflicted City's biggest League defeat (10-0)?
[7] City player Finn Tapp appeared on national television earlier this season. However, Peter Arch was perhaps City's first TV celebrity. What national TV show did he appear on in 1986?
[8] In which year did City first play a floodlit match at The White House?
[9] In January 1932 England played Wales in an international match at The White House. What was 'unusual' about this match?
and finally...
[10] Who were City's last competitive opponents at The White House?
Have a go at these, and hopefully it will soon be back to matters of present-day football to be discussed on the Forum. Answers next week.

If it was after 2008 I might have a chance........ OK Clive, and anyone else for that matter. Here's eight (extra) questions about the post-2008 matches/players. [11] Arti Krasniqi who played briefly for the 1st XI was an U21 international for which country? [12] In 2009 City made it to Round 1 of the FA Cup. But whom did they beat in the first game (1Q) in the competition that season? [13] What was 'unusual' about Alex Grantham's appearance as a substitute against St Albans in August 2018? [14] Central defender Mike Atkinson who played twice at the start of the 2018/19 season was an international for which country? [15] What makes the home match against Barwell on January 17th 2012 unique for the 1st XI this century? [16] Which club knocked City out of the FAC and FAT at Marsh Lane in successive seasons? [17] Which two clubs were City's first and (so far?!) last opponents in the Conference North? [18] In 2011 City were removed from the Senior Cup for playing an ineligible player in their tie at Carterton. Who was he? That really is it! All answers on Friday. Good luck all...and stay safe.

Hope the three quizzes got some thinking...no more to follow (honestly!) The various 'oddities' came about as I've been using these strange times to try to (re)organise all the OCFC material that I used for the old History website. It's a slow process!!

I'm afraid that the website that I built up and hosted for several years is no longer in existence. It simply became too expensive for me to maintain.
As I said above, I have been using the last few weeks to try to organise the huge amount of material that I have. I am not going to produce a new website, but, if time allows and I feel so inclined, it might be that it is eventually converted into a book.
If there are any questions or stats that you'd like to know about, then do please ask.

Thanks Chris and interested to hear that you may eventually convert the material that you have into a book.
If possible I would appreciate any stats/team line ups etc. that you have on past matches v Chesham United in the 1950`s up to 1970`s. If so, then I can I give you my email address if that`s easier. Thanks.

Hi, if you could let me have an email address I will certainly send you the details I have of Chesham v City games. Afraid I wouldn't have your line-ups, but do have the City teams if they're any use to you.

Only just seen this thread! The stats site was brilliant - could you perhaps get it sponsored to cover the costs? It's such a shame people can't see it. But I'd definitely buy the book!
