I notice on Full-Time that City Lions are playing home fixtures at Faringdon Leisure Centre. Is that a permanent move?

Nope, its not permanent, the club have managed to unload the white elephant that was Oxford City Arena which made the Lions homeless so they are playing in Faringdon until somewhere closer to Oxford becomes available as a permanent base. They have afew options but for this season at least its Faringdon.
On a side note The Lions are playing Reading Escolla at Wycombe Sports Center this Sunday, a game im hoping to get to as its almsot on on my door step and im missing the futsal!

It was I beleive but the Lions gave themselves a mountain to climb by going in at HT 6-1 down......EG gave them a rocket and they played much better second half but the damage was unfortunately done.
Full report taken from the Lions facebook page and highlight at the bottom...
"This was a strange game for the Lions, and very much a game of two halves. The first half felt nervous, and Birmingham were gift wrapped several early goals, with the Lions giving away possession, or conceding from flying keeper, and losing an own goal, leaving the boys 5-1 down at half time, and then 6-1 shortly after half time. Game over?
The Lions gradually imposing themselves on the court, and then on the scoresheet, and the boys brought the game back to 6-5 with Birmingham on five fouls, and risking a penalty freekick. However, Birmingham gathered themselves and managed an extra couple of goals to take the game to 8-5, only for Ruben to pull a long ball out the air and lift it over the keeper to make the final score 8-6. Though the Lions won the second half, the first half left them too much to do.
There is much to take from this game. The Lions were in parts competitive with a team lying third in the league. With a more controlled game in the first half, and better finishing throughout, the Lions could still have taken something from the game.
The fixtures have panned out unusually this season. The Lions have played all but one of the top six sides, and the next four or five games are all against opposition around or below them in the league. This could be the time for the improving Lions to go on a run. Our next game is on 10th December against Cambridge United and on the 17th we visit Salisbury, one of the promoted sides, who started well but have begun to struggle. Early January sees a double header against the bottom side Genesis, a strong club, but not in the best form this season.
Highlights are online...

Thanks for that. There doesn't seems to be anything about the Lions on the main website now, and it's only occasionally that I remember to look on the FA Full-Time page for scores, and happened to notice they were playing on Sunday. Looks as though they ought to finish mid-table or better.

There is quite along break in the Futsal season and City's next game isn't until the 14th, but EG and Co have been hard at work nurturing the next generation of futsal players.
Oxford City's U14 Futsal team have been playing in the Sant Cugat Futsal tournament just outside Barcelona this week and won the trophy beating CFSEixample in the final 5 - 1. which can be seen here
Looks like EG has a hell of a team on his hands if they keep developing and learning (all of CFSEixample's chances came from City mistakes!).

Has anyone thought about putting in for National Lottery grant. The article makes a good case for it coming under 'good causes'?
