Didcot in the cup on Saturday, a great time for us to be playing them as they were smashed 5-0 by North Leigh last night (Deabill getting one of the goals)
They will come to us very low on confidence after a fairly poor start to the season, we are oozing confidence as a team at the moment so as long as we don't underestimate them we could be in for a few goals, but being a cup game you can never be too sure
Phil John up front will be the main threat from them, they also have the experience of Richard Peirson so high balls to our attack would be a bit pointless, although you'd have to fancy the pace of Felipe on the deck against him (sorry Rich!) the rest of the squad is mainly made up of youngsters
hopefully a decent crowd for this one and a decent result for us

Any predictions for tomorrow?
could be a banana skin tie, but with us in decent form and didcot struggling i'm going to optimistic and predict City 5-1 Didcot and a Felipe hat-trick

was very poor indeed. though a result we were due and it was going to be a hard game, especially with Didcot playing with nothing to lose after the thrashing North Leigh gave them Tuesday night.
I am kinda concerned this might be the start of a reality check, we missed Clarke alot and apparently he's out for at least 3 weeks, not saying it would have made any difference to the extent of the injury but Clarke went into Tuesdays game in pain having picked up a knock on Saturday and then he had that heavy fall in the 1st half on Tuesday and there after, clear for all to see he wasn't walking properly let alone running properly, why oh why didn't fordy sub him?...especially since we had Josh Green on the bench who from what I have seen was a more than a capable defender.
'was' being the word as I understand Josh has leaved us to return to Brackley in a move thats bewildered Blossom and many others in the dressing room apparently.
Now with Josh gone and Clarke out for what 6 or more games Bloss and Adam are our only two centre backs presently which isn't exactly great news. I do hope this isn't the start of a slide like alst season when one player leaved and there was mass exodus there after.
On a Brighter note I spoke to Lyon's after the game and he said he should be fit for the replay on Tuesday as long as the physio gives him the thumbs up, no disrespect to Islam but on that performance alone I don't think Lyon was quaking in his boots about losing his place.
Also very happy to see Bell on the right side of the barrier and getting back to fitness.
Roll on Tuesday!!!

Ballard can play centre-half, and theres Joel Meade in the Nomads if Green has left.
I know Nick Stanley has signed for Supermarine.

Second in the league and still they walk.... Edit - having said that comment off the cuff, I guess the other possibility is that Fordy has been forced to cost cut, so possibly the best of a necessary situation.

Indeed Excellent result!! Even a very decent performance....im not even going to criticize for once (Padz will be happy!! ) we did the job we needed to do and we did it convincingly. Also having spoken Ben Islams dad tonight after the game I found out he has only just turned 18 and therefore I was possibly abit harsh on him after the game on Saturday. I thought he was afew years older than that. Anyway Thame United next maybe hit town after?

Despite the rain a quality night, good atmosphere from the travelling City support and great banter (largely at the keepers expense!)
City clearly the better side on the night , really clicked into gear in the second half, Pondy was immense and he was getting closer and closer to scoring, Bash did well with the first (keeper bottled it), good finish for the second and Felipes freekick skipped off the surface for 3-0.
thought Conor made a great impression on anybody who hasn't seen him before, ran and battled well in the short time he was on, nobody had a bad game at all, very good all round
Bring on Stretch,Stedders etc, bring on Thame!

Good performance by the whole team never rarely looked in any bother Didcot ran out of steam in the second half thought, Clarky had another top game as did Fleet his best game to yet should be given a prolonged run in the team .The only concern being the strength on the bench with all the goings

Anyway Thame United next maybe hit town after? Sounds like a good idea! Also, I wonder if anyone would be interested in meeting up pre-match, having a few beers to get the vocal chords going before heading to the ground? Have no knowledge of Thame pubs at all - any suggestions?

Kinda spoilt for choice with pubs in town all very close proximity to each other, Prices don't tend to vary much, all quite expensive unfortunately. The walk from town to the ground is probably about 20mins and the bus (280) will drop you in the town centre. I find myself going between all the pubs now and again but heres my list:- *Jimmy Figgs (also known as the Abbo, or Abingdon Arms) - lots of students and younger people go there. two or 3 ales and standard lagers. * The Bird Cage - Over 21's only - keeps the riff-rafe out (Andy & Jack be warned ) since they do good food as well im not sure if this is enforced during the day. There unique thing is 8 fridges of foreign imported bottled beer so if you want to try something different then thats the place to go. www.birdcagepub.co.uk/Beers.asp <--- Beer menu. *Rising Sun - Does a killer Pad Thai - Quite Small and Cosy, Becks on Tap and a couple of ales I think not a huge selections of drinks. *6 Bells - bit further down the road used to be the students place to go until they uped there prices and everyone then went to Figgs, decent enough pub. but rip off prices and strangely I still find myself in there on rare occasions. *Black Horse - Chav Pub, but I know they do show sports in there which is something alot of the pubs in Thame don't do. *The Thatch - Quite place probably wouldn't welcome football hooligans like ourselves! *Old Nags Head - Can't say ive ever really been in there but they do show alot of sports. *The Cross Keys - down the opposite end of the town center Thame's proper Ale pub with 8 Taps, not sure that's of interest to many people going to the game though....if you do fancy Ale however its the place to go. *The Two Brewers (spewers) - never been in there and know noone that goes there, so can't be that good. And of course Thame United themselves, since ive yet to go there I have no idea what the bar/beer is like. As I said we're not exactly short on options when it comes to drinking in town all these places within a 5minutes walk of each other. The places I spend most time at in Thame these days is the Cross keys, Bird Cage or Figgs.
