Happy with that result, Weymouth looked pretty decent defensively and always had the beating of us in the air but they never really tested Jason and we didn't look in danger of losing once we had taken the lead.
Could've had a couple in the first half, Pablo going one on one with their keeper only for him to gather at his feet, Marvin had a great burst into the box and Motty's shot cracked off the post.
As chrisb says in his match report, the city turned up the tempo with the introduction of Mark Bell, he's been unlucky with his injury problems over the last 2 years but he showed in half an hour yesterday what supporters were saying 2/3 years ago, that he is the most naturally gifted footballer at the club, he had several runs down the left flank which left the Weymouth players chasing shadows and then his first corner was perfectly delivered for Wilmott to head home.
Can't really pick any bad points out of the game, although i think it's a bit harsh that Wayne Blossom is out of the side(unless he's carrying an injury) as he's arguably been our most consistant player this season(and the previous one), the defence have been playing well but i have to wonder if playing one of Learoyd or Bloss at left back could be an idea and using Marvin in a more advanced role on the left of midfield
Hopefully one or two of our injured lads may be available for selection for next weekends tricky looking trip to Frome.
