The boys face a tough test against Shrivenham tonight as they look for a win to keep them in the title race..
City are missing a few including Andy Martin, Coop's and their influential skipper Julian Dark but still field a strong squad for the home encounter.
Squad; Pagano, Dore, Tutton, Grossman, Sharkey, Merritt, Clark, Orlando, Pearce, Spittle, Holden, Gills, Parsons, Maciak, Warmington, Creed
Looking forward to the game and hoping for another big crowd!

Before my dad starts the match report Id like to apologise for making him miss the first half, In my defence I wasn't hungry when I left the house but by the time we got down there I was starving! and if any of you have tried eating your dinner in the back of a polo you'll know why it took so long, my dad says that your linesman has eaten a few things in the back of a polo but thats a story for when im older.

Cheers son, and for anyone that thinks ive been bringing a doll down, yes it is 3-46am!
from what ive been told the first half was a masterclass in finishing from spits,
half time vets 2 shrivenham 0
the 2nd half started off scrappily with neither side creating much. Kimber brought on parsons for the ineffective holden and stewie showd a new found maturity by not shooting every time he got the ball, including strangely enough 2 occasions when more or less clean through! komber fired a rocket into parsons and was overheard saying something like "if id wanted someone to jog around not really doing anything I would have left sholden on"
5 minutes later it was 4-0 after a brace from parsons, who was now even shooting fom goal kicks and throw ins.
I wasn't all plain sailing for city and unfortunately dorey found himself up against his boyhood hero clayton blackmore, dorey was obviously star-struck and was passed repeatedly by him, even managing to drop kick the corner flag at one stage, by this stage kember had lost control and city linesman arthur albiston decided hed had enough and just laid down until dorey walked off, blackmore went passed him easily enough as well, the only difference was albiston had some of those illuminous terry toweling socks on,
cool heads were called for now so the gaffer sent on jills and manjack and it was soon 4-1, but apart from a few pot-shots from stewie the game passed without incident
city go into the last game now knowing a win will guarantee being at least level at the end of the season,
final score vets 4 shrivenham 1 man of the match- (from what i saw) merritt/clarke
ps- im off now to check out what other functions you can do on a lap-top, its still been a while

The boys produced one of their most solid performances of the season last night and was delighted to see us run out 4 - 1 winners... Spitz and Stewy Parsons both bragged a brace and with a bit of luck could of had a few more!! The only disappointment of the night was Arthur Albiston bringing himself on without consulting the gaffa in luminous tights and giving the goal away when he knew goal difference could make a difference... Oh and Dorey pole dancing with the corner flag in the first half (he blamed the lack of lights apparently!! The victory puts us seven points clear of Shrivenham (who have two games in hand) and sets up another tasty clash against Chinnor next week!! Man of the Match (over 80 mins) - Skipper Justin Merritt The end of season race day is nearing and Arthur is planning to take us all to Newbury for the day on the 19th May... Pencil this date into your busy diaries as those of you have been before know this is the highlight of the season!!!
