Yes, also not returning to my home town now with City! Short history of Hinckley Utd...merger of two clubs, Hinckley Athletic (my old club!) who spent most of the time playing in the West Mids Prem League - likes of Halesowen, Tividale and Rushall Olympic..usually getting around 2-300 at Middlefield Lane....and Hinckley Town...who no one supported but attracted interest from local businessmen - including one Alan Esparza, who was a footie agent. He brought high profile friendlies to Leicester Rd (current site of HUFC) inc FC Utrect, Red Star Belgrade and Real Sociedad, back in the late eighties. Athletics reserves (the Canaries) went on to be Barwell FC, who play just up the hill from the Knitters.no more than a 20 min walk into Barwell. Friendly bunch, a lad I went to school with called Simon Blyth is their main fan, organising away trips etc. Ground is right out of town, as said nearer Barwell..just 11 miles from Leicester. Quite big social club behind terrace though! Expecting a City away win...3-2 Att: 324

I'll be there, only 80 minutes drive from my place! I think 4-0 to us, hat trick for Dec; attendance 275.

Pains me to say it but cannot get there, so will be watching the other lot at the Kasstad, well one or two come along and go through the motions occasionally for us,as a neutral could be interesting if they lose.
As for City,Hinckley have strengthened there squad through two loanies. At our best and not conceeding silly set pieces 2-1 win!

At the Kasstad never seen fans fighting amongst themselves over a song, but, it happened when they went 2-1 down, even got a couple not liking my ocfc badge,"have a word"I said Then they got a goal back and won it, eventually , and all was forgotten. Enjoyed the five goals and abuse from a couple of idiots, then heard radio Oxford city update, and cheered, even the womble fans thought we were one card short of a full house!

Very professional performance from us last night, Hinckley weren't much of a threat as they were only a young team (avg age of 21) but still have to beat whats in front of you. Declan on the scoresheet once again, nutmegging the goalkeeper, Cooky was again excellent and Jack Mills really shone going forward when possible to great effect, Nabil worked his arse off and came so close to bagging the goal he deserves Ok so maybe i didn't get the scorers correct......, on another night we could've had 4 or 5 goals.
