Yate drawn at home (again) to Newport County...that'll get a good crowd. Didcot at home to Arlesey Town. Close to call, but a good chance for Didcot to get to Round One for the first time.

We seem to do well in the Cup in alternate years, so next year is the biggie!

Yate were 3-1 up over conference Prem leaders with ten minutes to go, But Newport got two back near end to earn themselves a replay. A Vindication I think that its not an easy place to go!

Just think, if we had beaten Yate and got through, there could have been a re-run of the 1969 1st Round game at Cheltenham- which we won! Interesting little word 'if', don't you think? Always goes down well in football predictions...

We got to Round 3 of the Trophy in 1999/2000 (lost 1-5 at home to Burnham) and in 2002/03 (lost 1-2 away to Stevenage, our fourth Trophy fixture of that season). I think the round numbers and exemption levels were altered around 2000, but what is certain is that we have not made it past the 2nd Qualifying Round since the Stevenage game. At least that is something that will change this season!

Fingers crossed for a good draw, because even at this stage a win is worth £4000 in prize money!

Yate won 3-1 AET at Newport, the magic of the Fa cup & makes our exit to them a little easier to take!
Away to Cheltenham in round 1.....would you bet against another shock

Might be worth a couple of quid! Especially if you double up and take Met Police over Crawley - that's got shock of the round written all over it.
