Abingdon Town 4 Oxford City Colts 0
After one of the best team performances this season last week we again played very well with the right effort, tempo and drive which had the unbeaten league leaders who have scored 98 goals in 11 games and they have only conceded 3 goals worried and under pressure, we passed the ball very well on a sticky pitch and carved a few chances of our own. After a pretty even first half we found ourselves 1-0 down at half time. We regrouped and went out with the attitude of same again and we could have equalised when we were clean through with just the keeper to beat, which saw us on top for a short time, but we knew it would be a game of few chances that we would need to take them when they came along, with 15 minutes to go in the second half we conceeded again and one or two nil would have been a fair scoreline, we changed things around moving players into new positions and giving everyone a game,we let two more further goals in but our heads didn't drop in the whole 60 minutes of play, this really shows the progression and confidence the team have made and had in the recent matches.
Well done to everyone today, see you on Wednesday at training.
