Oxford City Colts 3 vs. Didcot Town 'B' 0
We again played well and had the lion share of possession in this game, but we tended to lose our shape and get pulled out of position chasing and we didn't use the amount of possession of the ball as well as we know we can play. And also various players from all departments missing a large number of chances in front of goal.
Joesph Hastings opened the scoring after we laid seige on the Didcot goal in the first ten minutes and Leyton Brandon scoring a minute before half time after relentless pressure. After three changes at half time the defense also dealt with everything thrown at them in both halfs and limited Didcot to one goalmouth scramble in 60 minutes of play. Didcot Town had a spell of pressure as all games swing both ways, Didcot played well and made a battle of it after a tough season. Tremayne Barratt scored a superb long range shot late in the second half to complete the scoreline.
Well done to everyone today.
A throughly enjoyable game to watch and play in, played in the right spirit and manner from both sides.
No training Wednesday and no match next Sunday due to half term.
See you all training on Wednesday 24th Feb 5-6pm at Wheatley Gym.
