How do you know for sure that it didn't cross the line? I don't...was at the other end. What I do know for sure is, as City Fan says, you lot would be belly aching for an eternity, had the boot been on the other foot! You brought 50-60, which is fair enough - though the shortest trip of the season for Gloucester...but a totally 'sing when your winning' attitude from the whole coach load - mice as soon as you conceded! We might not have too many singers amongst our ranks, but I and others will give it throughout, no matter the score...as did at Boston, Guiseley et-al...oh and Whaddon Rd back in September!

Only sing when we're winning? Coming from an Oxford fan? You made virtually no noise the entire game- even when you scored! You obviously were not listening as even when we conceded, we were still singing - "You only sing when you're drawing" was one which comes to mind. You could easily have mistaken this for a Gloucester home match with the complete contrast in noise levels between the two fans! "You're just a small town in Swindon..."

Your fans were utterly *****!! Deserved win for us in the end, shame we hadn't scored a few more, makes that prediction of "5-0" one of your lot made at the start of this thread look ..... daft really. I'm 15 and I made more effort into when I came up with "Sing when your drawing" than. 300 Oxford fans in 90 mins.

Some bitter comments on here! I felt, as did your bar staff, that Gloucester were the better team over the 90 minutes and deserved the 3 points on the balance of play. Only until you scored did you ever really look like any kind of threat.
The 2nd goal, to be perfectly honest, I have no idea if it went over the line. Did I celebrate? Yes of course I did, the same as if it was vice versa. A truly international line-up of linemen on Saturday. A Peruvian looking guy on one side and I assume a Russian linesman on the other.
nptonexile - It is not our shortest trip. Think you are forgetting Worcester. And 50-60? Come on, you honestly believe you had 350+ Oxford fans in that stadium? We had close to if not 100 there, which isn't massive but remember we haven't had a game in Gloucester for over 6 years. It's an expensive business this playing around the county lark. We weren't all just behind a goal, there were fans sitting in the main stand and along the sides too. You should have seen that when the first went in!
Think our support vocally was decent and I disagree that we became "mice" when you scored. We never stopped singing unlike your support who never even started!

any of Gloucester Fan konw of any good pub for food and drink for Tuesday night match ?? As they won't answer your question Halifax, being rather ignorant baring on obsessive ,I will do it for them. Kemble Brewery Fairview St is right next to the ground get the lads from the Shay in there! And all the best to your side as you often take the time to cheer us on when you can't get to there games!

any of Gloucester Fan konw of any good pub for food and drink for Tuesday night match ?? if your in Cheltenham..the Kemble Brewery - just 2-3 minutes walk from Whaddon Road (though a tad difficult to find if you've never been) is an excellent real ale pub. Think on Farirfield Rd but not sure)..not a single Gloucester fan in there back in September...though Northampton tend to take over when in town against Cheltenham! About a 15 minute walk from the train station is the Jolly Brewmaster in the Montpellier area of the city. Love this pub, but not so ideal for a Tuesday game - unless you're on an all dayer!

As for us not getting started singing wise...small band of us were singing...surprisingly, you're not so loud either from the other end of the pitch! 'FRED WEST...LIFE IS PEACEFUL THERE' Classic ditty of our time...certainly better than 'sing when you're...yaaawwwnnn...drawing' from the 6 yr old!
