0-4 to the team bottom of the table who haven't won at home all season. Says it all really.
Fortunately Rugby, Hemel and Clevedon have 3 of the relegation places just about sown up, and if Merthyr chose to go down to the Hellenic League then City should be safe.
However. as a general rule at this level, teams that rely on loan signings are normally teams who struggle. Last year we only really had Fisher ( who eventually signed permanently ) and we finished 6th. This season we have had all sorts from Cheltenham, Reading, Watford, Hinckley etc and are now in the bottom third.
Last season was a joy to watch, many entertaining games with decent football. This season there have been very few good games since the Burton cup-tie ( apart from the mayhem at Didcot ! )
Fortunately work commitments mean I will have to miss the attractive opposition on Tuesday also known as Evasham; lose that one and we are really in trouble.....

I've been roped into taking the missus to the academy for a gig, so like you can't make it on Tuesday. It really doesn't look good at the moment, but win on Tuesday and that could all change. Maybe it's a case of writing of the 10/11 season as "the Burton year" and looking forward to next year. Pre-season reassess and start to build the team around those that want to play for the club (although given recent form, even that could be hard to call) As for yesterday, real shame, thought we showed signs of improvement against United in the week. The report on the homepage makes for really depressing reading.

I agree that the rest of the season is now more about damage limitation and then re-grouping in the summer. I would just hope that City will try and entertain for the rest of the season, and don't even consider playing only one forward at home.
At the start of the season it seemed part of the problem was we didn't know our best team because we had too much choice. Now we are even struggling to fill the subs bench. At their best any of Baird, Lyon, Pond, Faulconbridge, Alexis, Day & Fisher ( and maybe even Caton ) would improve the current team ( or squad )
Good to see Brooks playing for the Nomads yesterday and scoring twice. Hopefully it is a sign that a return to fitness and contributing to City is not far away.
To me, one priority is the signing of a permanent second goal-keeper, well as Puddy and North have played. I was surprised to read that Harrison has quit Weymouth and signed for Brackley.....
