Poor Referee display and where did he get 12 minutes of injury time.
Overall i thought it was a very good display from city which once again shows they are a good enough match for the big teams in this .
Mr coggins must be proud of himself tonight..
Good point i suppose against a good team but for them to score deep deep deep into injury time really is heartbrake. Once again a late goal as meant we have lost points..
Steele Goal was terrific lobbing the goalkeeper but we should of then had 2 penaltys shouts waved down by the ref mr coggins the goalkeeper and 2 defenders had then told us they were 2 blantants penalties.
Next up Bashley away that will be a toughie.

what a load of rubbish. I attended game as a neutral with my son who is a good footballer and we both agreed the referee was above average and that he had got both penalty shouts right. in addition he played 2 not 12 minutes added time. City should have continued the game plan they used in the first half instead of withdrawing into a defensive pattern. Steele was the best player on the pitch by a mile!

I watched Mike Ford's look of disappointment when Halesowen equalised in extra time, however should he not have been aware this may happen. Once again he started with a changed back four, leaving Andy Gunn on the bench. In view that Andy was probably one of the best central defenders in the league, before Mike Ford completely demoralised him, there must be something personal in Ford's decision. As a result of this Halesowen first goal was a result of poor defending with again our number 2 being involved. Lee Steele plays hovoc with most defences, but Mike Ford makes the same mistake that he did in our previous meeting with Halesowen, by taking Lee off thus taking away the only player who were keeping the oposition defence busy thus allowing Halesowen to put more and more pressure on our defence.. By bringing off Lee Steele and putting Andy Gunn on in extra time indicates that he was intending to defend City's 1 goal lead which in the past has proved to be fatal. The previous contributor asked why so much extra time was played, may I suggest that Mike Ford created 2 minutes of this by bringing on 2 substitutes during extra time. In my opinion Mike Ford's approach to man management lacks somewhat, many of the players especially the younger players are scared of making mistakes because of Fordy's wrath and both these and others players are not sure of what is expected of them. A good example is just to name one, where has the flair possessed at the beginning of the season by both Bell and Janes gone. Alright we have had many injuries this season but which team has not. The committee have not kept the team short of funds this season, however much of these funds have been wasted on some non-performing ex-pros and buying of a player's contract. With Mikes Ford's record especially this year (2010) , serious consideration to his tenureship should take place at the end of the season. I have had my say, so come on the do gooders and fans of mediocre football and give me your best!!

I would have to disagree with you on the penalty shouts both of them were clear penalties with the goalkeeper saying it was a dead certain penalty.

DAVID you know absolutely nothing about football by the sounds of it, and your opinion is not valued or agreed by any other person other than yourself so stop your pathetic moaning about mike fords management.

Well it's always been a game of opinions , but congrats to the team and management on a draw against a team who would be 3rd if it wasn't for points deducted.

I got be honest I am pretty dissappointed with the result on our first half performance alone. We dominated play all over the pitch and looked threatening whenver we were on the ball, this was quite possibly the best half performance that ive seen since Burton, which is only good.
The first pen shout was stone wall, there was an audible clatter of shin pads/boots on Harding, how the ref failed to give it ill never know....shouldn't harding have got booked for diving then?....second one, my veiw was blocked so don't really know.
Second half, not helped by the downpour, I felt we went too defensive as has been said and invited Hales on.
I think Steele substitution was a sensible one, the pitch was getting increasingly heavy/sticky, we were 2-0 up and he ahs been carrying an injury in recent days, agreeed he was our best player and the only one that really caused Hales any problems but id also like to see him fit for the run-in as well.
I would have liked to have seen moses come in with 10mins to go (rather than the 2 he acturally got), by the end hales defence were completely shattered, making errors and increasingly we were breaking through on the counter, Janes worked his socks off but looked just as knackered as the defence....the injection of pace taht Moses could have bought had he came on sooner may have been a deciding factor.
All round though I feel we did put in a good performance especially in the first half, just dissapointed that yet again ive seen us lose concentration and drop points with virturally the last kick of the game.

Anon, are you a do-gooder or a fan of mediocre football. You are incorrect on two points, 1) I have a great amount of experience in most aspects of football. 2) my opinion is valued by a good few of the regular City supporters. My comments are not a case of pathetic moaning but my honest fews of what as gone on so far this season. Instead of saying that I have know nothing about football, which of my comments do you disagree with and make your opinions known and your reasons for dis-agreeing.
