Would go for a 4-4-1-1 against Brackley Knight Clarke Gunn Douglas Gordon Bell Savage Malone Janes Sandy Steele Subs BenchBallard,Davis,Brooks,Harding,MosesFirstly having Clarke at right back to cope with the obvious threat of Tom Winters pace, Clarkey is as quick as anybody in this league and stronger than most, I've gone for Gordon at left back, not sure how that would work out as im not 100% sold on him yet but Steve Davis is clearly really lacking in confidence and alot of unneccessary problems have come from the oppositions right hand side. Belly(if match fit) & Janesy on opposite wings, they tore Didcot to shreads and both have an understanding of how the other plays with the bonus that they can switch flanks, then the obvious pairing of Liam & Sav in the middle Elliot Sandy playing just off of Lee Steele, Steeley is awesome at holding the ball up but he needs a bit of support up top, El has really impressed since joining, is quality going forward and can score goals merely my opinion, sure others will have their own which would be very interesting to hear

That sounds about right the only change would be Ballard for Gordon

Padz - I like although I think I agree with Onlooker with bringing Ballard in at left back. Yes he's a right back by trade but I think confident enough to play on the left and he played there a few times last season and stood strong. Also it brings his long throw in to the equation which is never a bad thing.

I think we can safely assume Ballard will be playing somewhere as he was rested for last night.

Why set up a wall and stand behind it for a free kick. Poor goalkeeping that was.

Harry like all the players had a good game.In my opinion James Clark and Dave Savage were to men of the match. The defence with Andy Gunn were much better resulting in the rest of the team looking more settled. Would agree regarding the wall and keeper with regards to the winning free kick, but hell bells it was some free kick which I doubt could of been saved by any keeper. It was a shame that Mark Bell aggravated his hamstring again. This was one hell of a game and Brackley must feel very relieved withe result, especially when the penalty the referee gave them was very doubtful and not allowing the goal which was definitely over Brackley's goal line. If the City players continue to give this level of performance we should get a few good results to finish the season. Mike Ford is a man of his word, following the game both he and I had a lenghty conversation and he was prepared to explain his views on some of the issues I have raised in recent messages, whereas we did not agree on all issues, I must give the man credit for spending his time following a game, discussing matters with a supporter.

Good stuff David, Yeah its funny, ive never seen a goal from outside the box this whole season at CPF and ive been to most home games, only two I have seen this season was Bell's Free kick away at Brackley and Alexis goal at Burton. Then we have two (or was it 3....I was at the wrong end to see that buetiful first half Brackley volley clearly ) in one match. Yeah dissapointed with the draw, but don't think anyone could of saved that Free kick, was something special....as was Sav's goal. Played much better against brackley, good perfomance and everything looked much more settled. I would however like to see some more gambaling in the opposition box though, several city balls came across the face of the goal which had a player been running onto the back post may have had an oppotunity...same with second balls in after a corner, free kick or throw in has come to nothing, everyone retreats in anticipation of the counter, then if city regain possesion noone moves in to try and unerve the keeper to try and force a fumble when the ball comes back across. But im like old Hansen and Lawrenson...if a player shoots and failed to score they should have passed it, if in the same situation the player passes and they still fail to score, then they should have shot themselves....no pleasing some people . Speaking of which...I do like the fact some players have put there shooting boots on and are willing to have a pop from outside the box in the last few games....im sure its the stigma of fluffing it, but the way i see it is there keeper has an equal chance of making a hash of it, so come on guys, keep shooting! For ovious reasons can't make the Truro trip, but am looking forward to the Banbury match Thursday.

yes i cant agree more with david and hedges there.. Ill be at the banbury match would be great if we could get a decent amount of points from last few games.. Move us into better position and we need2 points to be mathematically save dont we well we needed 3 before the hemel match but have other teams down at the bottom ? Are we now save:) Hopefully we will go for it next year and i know someone who was speaking to fisher. Who hopes to be back for pre season and next season apparentely.
