So a decent game to watch this afternoon and a good point for us, team as a whole played well, Puddy pulled off a couple of class saves, thought Emery looked fairly lively and put himself about well, Belly and Lyons did alot of running and creating and Dougie won everything in the air, just a pity he had nobody with him to knock on to. Merthyr weren't a bad side with a few tricky players Not sure on the penalty whether it was handball or not? Still a point is better than none

Two fairly evenly matched sides who'd be close to each other in the table if Merthyr hadn't had a ten-point deduction. Jon Douglas certainly got his head on the majority of crosses and it'll be good to see Lee Steele back to feed on these flicks. Will Puddy was very good again - no chance with the penalty (which was probably a correct decision given the (relative) lack of complaints from the players).

Yeh was a good match, suprising we had 3 defenders suspended and a few people playing out of position i thought we played well and they looked good so was a great match... 1 point each i suppose was fair:).. Bring On Brackley.. As for those Merthyr fans behind the goal trying to provoke us it was quite funny.. Idiotic Behaviour.. But you always get a few.. There fans were great and some of there fans were the most respected i have seen this season.. I hope Merthyr Tydfill saty up and prevent the club folding!! Mark

Yes, a draw was fair--they shaded the first half when we were disjointed (not surprising with five players out and three loanees in), us the second. We were lucky to be 1-1 at HT but a bit unlucky not to get a couple in the second. Merthyr a solid mid-table outfit, too good to go down even with the points reduction--hope they survive. Thought their defender should have been red-carded for bringing Bairdy down when his run had taken him near the edge of the area--last man, fairly blatant, a yellow was a soft decision. Bell so close to scoring from the free kick. Janes was lively when he came on, Malone had a strong game and Douglas worked hard. Puddy is class! Gunn took his chance coolly. Pondy did a decent job out of position. Have a good time down under, Darren--we'll miss you!

I heard him saying to the other players he'll be back for the truro city match.. so he will be back.. but then you have to take affect of lack of match fitness.
