City went down by one goal to nil when playing Chinnor at Abingdon Town.
Chinnor scored early on when a rebound from the post was returned with interest past a stranded Colin Fleet.
Indeed City were grateful to their keeper when he made two superb saves to prevent Chinnor extending their lead.
City certaily deserved something from the game as they played the better football with Ronnie Williams hitting the post and Julio Baresi having a penalty well saved, but every attack seemed to founder on a resolute Chinnor defence.
