Another good game of entertaining football on a lovely day in the sun.

I thought we played well, much better than on Thursday night. Though Stourbridge (which some of there supporters admiited) are a lesser side than Nuneaton. The scoreline is again flattering but the important point here is that all there goals could have been avoided in my opinion, indervidural mistakes cost us here, not forgetting the (now standard) +1 goal we give the opposition in the 85+ minute.

At the other end I just felt it was one fo those days, we hit the bar 3 times and the ball never dropped for us, like Thursday, several times it pinged around the opponents box but ended up back at the feet of a Stourbridge player to clear.

Id have liked Fordy to go 442 when we went 2 down, its the last game of the season nothing to lose and enabled someone else up top with Steele, who even with his experience can only hold up the ball for so long....and not long atool if he has two men on him which they really started to do towards the end fo the game.
Again noone really attacked the backpost when Brookes and Janes got in positions to fire in crosses and only sandy and steele made effort to get there which again is quite easy to defend...would like to see another player commited to going for those balls.

Anyway roll on next season, as I understand it will probably be a very different team next season...one thing I can only hope and its a big ask,especially at this level given the circumstances of the players .... is that we can get a consistent team together that play together almost week-in-week out becuase I think constant squad changes have damaged us this season.

P.s I hope that Stourbridge player who won the 'Hit the Bar from almost the half-way line contest' got a pint from someone
