The U18 second year scholars and non scholars season 2016-2017 have returned from a successful week long Pre-season trip to Spain in the Donosti Cup only conceding 4 goals in seven games, losing in the semi finals 3-1 out of 48 Worldwide teams to a selected team for Catalan players from that area including Valancia, Barcalona possible Spanish future Pros in San Sebastian see @robtutton5 on twitter for info and pictures on this trip a report will go up on the club website and in the Oxford Mail soon, they have three weeks off with individual fitness work to do to maintain fitness and family holidays after playing & training for 11 months, we return to training at 7pm-8.30pm on Tuesday 2nd August and Thursday evenings Time TBC at Futsal Arena, we will then train for two weeks and have friendlies Away against Taplow United on Sat 6th August 2pm KO and a midweek game Tues/Weds against Hayes & Yeading or Eastleigh U21's mixed age sides,this is yet to be confirmed for w/c 8th Aug, our first league game in Hellenic Div 2 East is on Sat 13th Aug 3pm ko, we will play our home games on the 3G pitch.These players will also sign for the ACYL team to help out the first year scholars as second year scholars did last year and also make up the squad for the FA Youth Cup team and also still represent the OFA County team for their final year in County football, also a mixture of players eligible for the U18 OFA County Cup will play for that Cup, that has been won by the Club the last two seasons and many times before that, Also Hellenic league Cups and the OFA intermediate Cup so a lot of football to test this excellent bunch of players with.

Thanks Mark, it was a pleasure to be involved in the Tour and play so many worldwide teams and all the players represented the club superbly,We return to Training on Tues 2nd Aug 2016 at 7-8.30pm their season finished the end of May due to three cup finals they won and trained the whole of June and just had a week preseason Tour, 3 weeks rest and back to it,most will have 5 weeks rest as family holidays as well, Colin Fleet is also kindly helping with GK coaching and passing on his vast experience to the GK's U17-U21's starting on the 2nd Aug, We will train Tues/Thurs 2nd & 4th Aug then play Taplow United Away 2pm KO on Sat 6th Aug, train the following week and or play TBC Hayes & Yeading or Eastleigh U21's midweek w/c 8th TBC before we play first league game on Saturday 13th Aug.

OCFC Development played Taplow Utd away yesterday afternoon 2pm KO in a friendly against an older U21-U25 aged team,the 13 available U18 players and one U19 player due to holidays,did very well in the heat,against older players and three players also playing the day before, winning 2-3 with Goals from Horatio Hirst,Rash Nozt Dawood and Ahmed Farah,Training Thursday 7-8.30pm on the 3G.
