Eastbourne Utd 2-3 City att 676 In the words of Mike Ford, when we were in our first season in the Conference going to Halifax where the likes of Gregory and Vardy were waiting for us. 'Forget everything, this is a cup final, no every game is a cup final, you are the underdogs, now go out there and prove them wrong'. We scored first, (Willmot) but still lost 3-1

Eastbourne were sharp, organised and had a spring in their step as soon as they went in front, we huffed and puffed but they doubled the lead quickly and knocked the wind out of us and we were chasing shadows for much of the first half, we came out with more about us in the second half with McAuley going close for us and then they went straight up the other end to grab a 4th, to their credit the boys kept looking for ways to break them down.
We've got ourselves into a slump and it seems almost as though, and it may sound odd, but some players are trying too hard and over complicating passes when we maybe need to try and simplify things with shorter simple passing, the new striker showed some promise and it will be interesting to see how he and Conor play along side one another, onward to Bath Tuesday night
