We've heard this both home and away this week and it's just dumb.
People look at league position instead of form and assume we can't string 2 passes together but we've looked great since Hungerford. Davies and Roberts have been different players. Fleet has stepped up a lot in midfield and Ashby is as solid as ever. Hendo and Cundy are a great partnership and Belford is settling. Grant and Poku are machines out wide who put in an insane amount of effort every game, N'Gathe has deputised very well to boot. Ngamvoulou has changed games and Fondop and Louis seem to terrorise defenses week in, week out. Tommy is a huge impact sub who could easily be starting.
3 wins from 3 in one of the toughest stages of the season is exceptional work. Full credit to all of the lads.

I heard the whole game on the Internet and think that we have really turned it round. Full marks to the team and to Jonah and his team off-field. A great double-header, and we are moving up the table! It would have been 11th had a couple of other results gone our way, but 13th is certainly better than 20th. Another few victories and we can get well up into the top ten. Go it, you Hoops!

Still, if it's a mindset that encourages the opposition to take City lightly and become complacent then perhaps it's a thought to be promoted!?
Anyway, an excellent duo of results against a side that had only lost four league matches previously this season. COYHs.

Sometimes you need a bad result to shake the players up a bit. City have come back really well since Hungerford. That was a bad day, but the result flattered our opponents. Results don't always reflect the play. We had no run of the ball that day, we have had since. The Saints looked at that result and their record and sub-consciously assumed they would bag some holiday points. That attitude is always dangerous. City have suffered from it so much themselves, e.g. in nearly every cup match against lower league opposition in recent years. Over-confidence is just as bad as lack of confidence.

Take our next fixture as a potential banana skin. City now go into it as favourites on form, but Truro will be hungry to turn things around before they drop into the relegation places. We cannot assume it will be easy, not until we are three or four goals up at least, if we can manage that! If we do make assumptions, we shall probably lose. But if we face them with the same attitude we had against St. Albans's, I would not fancy Truro's chances. You just have to keep working--the way Godfrey and Freddie have been, week in and week out.
