A new goalkeeper...any details? Jake Pritchard the Youth team goalkeeper debuted last night, made a really good save in the shootout, which can be seen on the club's twitter as we live streamed the shootout

Thats right I understand it was Jake Pritchard who is an Oxford City scholar and plays for Rob Tutton in his Oxford City Dev side,Craig Hill was cup tied I believe. I see that 4 more of his lads were on the bench for the Senior cup game as well Sam Kemp, Jack Tutton, Sami Khawaja and Kei Chamberlain.
Looks like we have some good youth players coming through. I believe from reports it was Rob’s Oxford City Dev side that were the ones who represented City in the successful FA Youth cup run this year and who are virtually the same group of lads who are still in the FA County Youth Cup. Terrific achievement what a shop window for the City youth. I had the pleasure of watching these lads play in the FA Youth Cup competition this season and showed themselves as a talented group of players. City have seen one lad get signed by Sheffield Utd I recall at one of the matches think it was the Peterborough one I was stood near a couple scouts I overheard them talking about very positively about a number of the players - let’s hope we can hang on to some of them before other clubs get hold of them.
Hopefully we will look forward to seeing some of this crop of players making the transition into the 1st XI. I am sure Jonah and City Management Team are very pleased with the prospect of some home grown talent coming through and shows what a good youth programme City have, hats off and recognition to those who have worked so hard to achieve this I am sure with the success they have achieved some clubs must be sitting up and looking on with envy. Keep up the hard work. Come on you Hoops!
