It's an interesting old photo on the City Twitter (April 20th) - not one I'd seen before - but it's the 1913 side, not the '06 cup-winners. The great Frank Draper (far right in the back row) the only remaining player from the winning team of seven years earlier. The cup-winning side, and a grainy OM photo of the '13 side, HERE.

That website is absolutely EPIC! I love dipping into it every once in a while to re-live memories and also learn more about the history of OCFC.

I was a bit too hasty on that one. Having looked more closely, I'm sure it's not the 1913 Amateur Cup runners-up either: Revd. Kenneth Hunt played in both matches that year and he's not in that photo. The only players I can identify with any level of certainty are 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th from left in the back-row: Harry Cadwell, Fred Ansell (who won 4 England amateur international caps), Bert Harley, Alf Jakeman and Frank Hartley. And, second from the left in the front-row is Guy Buckingham (who scored 129 goals in 172 appearances for City). It is certainly from that era: somewhere between 1911 and 1914, as Harry Cadwell did not play after WW1. Was there any labelling on the original photo?

I cannot find the person that first posted it, this was the original image, with wording that it was the 1906 team, hence my tweet from the club account

My mate said his brother played for City for a season or two...I pulled up the Spreadsheet....search his name....sure enough he did! an excellent resource!

It would be interesting to identify any of the other players on the photo, and/or the occasion on which it was taken. Team photos from that time are not common and, for OCFC anyway, mainly appear to have only been taken at the time of a 'big match'. Also, I wonder where that original photo is, as I'm fairly sure it's not held by the club.

A really interesting Twitter site. Looks as though he must have had a fantastic collection at some time. P.S. City lost 1-0 at Minerul Vulcan.

Back to the team picture. As the picture seems to originate in Bournemouth, perhaps it was taken at the Amateur Cup 2nd Round tie at Bournemouth Gas Works on 17 January 1914? City won 1-0 that day. They also met in the 3rd Round at Bournemouth on 14 February 1920 (same result!) but that is probably too late for some of the identified players.

The Bournemouth connection had made me wondering about the Gasworks game too: but Kenneth Hunt also played in that one. The 1920 game is, as you say, too late for a couple of the players shown.
