If I were Jonah I'd want to keep Forde, Fleet, Poku and Niate for sure. I'd be happy to re-sign Grant, Henderson, Demuria and Hill, and would want to give youngsters like Peake-Pijnen, Tutton and Ngathe a chance to develop further, but all of these would have to be aware that they are competing for their place week by week, and may find themselves on the bench quite a lot, at least to start with. I would like to get Jefferson Louis back if he is up for another season, and his legs hold out, because he is such a useful, strong target man, but I don't know how he would perform on 3G.
Assuming the loanees go, and we have lost Tom Winters (and Mike Fordup? What has happened to him? I'd give him another chance to impress, I think, as his goalscoring record has been quite good), I would want to see who is being released by United. I'd be interested in all the lads we had with us in the first half of the season.
Beyond that, I'd be looking for new players to fill the gaps in every department.
Some might be surprised that I'd let Scott Davies go as he is obviously a talented player, comfortable on the ball, but for me he is too wasteful with his passing and free kicks, and he gets caught in possession too much.

For me it would be. Forde, Fleet, Poku, Hendo, Louis, Grant, Fondop (who has been injured last few weeks...assuming he is not 'injury prone' and thus a liability id keep him)....Hill if no alternatives appear (His stature is his limitation, good jump but he's quite short for a keeper, he also needs work on his fitness IMO to be considered a permanent Conference keeper....Dont get me wrong he has done pretty well and saved us a bunch of points having made a step up from the Nomads and Hellenic, but now needs to work hard in the close season to maintain his place) ....Plus the youngsters you mentioned
I have very mixed feelings on Davis...His distribution has been frankly shambolic at times....his free kicks most of the time utterly wasteful...but he clearly has quite alot of technical ability, is quite versatile and can read the game well particularly in defence...There has been a surprising number of times Davis has found himself at right or Left back and been able to hold up the attack or make the tackle and he does work hard. He has said to me and dad in various clubhouses this season we (presumably him) would do better on a better pitch....would be curious to see him on a 3G pitch if im honest....also if we want to have any chance of keeping Louise we'd also need to keep DavisI think.
Next week could be a good measure where we are at in what will be quite a intimidating atmosphere against very strong opposition on I guess, a resonably good pitch. A real test...hope Mark has his notebook with him.

I'm often very critical of Davies but I wouldn't ditch him if he wanted to stay. He is clearly a good presence around the club off of the pitch and whilst he is inconsistent as a player his attitude is usually very good, barring a certain tantrum at least. He is frustrating to watch because we all know how talented he is and seeing his decision making let him down so often can be a bit hard to swallow but that would be a weak reason to let him go.
When he plays a simple passing game he is usually the best player on the pitch and you have to imagine that will be the whole team's approach on 3G, so he should be a huge asset. I would worry more about how a player like Jeff will do as part of a new look system, although I feel like a man of his experience could adapt to almost anything.
Overall there are very few players I would want rid of but a lot I would be very sad to see leave. Poku has been the most influential player for us this season with Hendo a reasonably close second - losing either of them would be a tragedy. Hill, Grant and Demuria are also big figures in that backline who I would also want to keep. We're short on options in the center of midfield so its hard to say you would lose anybody but I could take or leave a lot of the options there. Up front, we would be mad to let Forde go so soon and I just want Fondop to be part of the club because he is so damn good to watch.

Agreed, I'd want Fondup too if he is fit, but I think we'll need an extra striker, especially if Jefferson's knees cause trouble on the firmer pitch. Personally I think he is the good influence on and off the pitch, rather than Davies, who can be brilliant, infuriating and immature by turns. Like yesterday--two or three totally wasted free kicks in good positions. We have all the big lads up from the back, and he elects to shoot, and every time it's way off target. Then he makes one of the best passes in the whole match to put Poku in behind, and we nearly score with a header from Anderson as a result. Then in the second half he loses the ball, and blames Jean Niate who had nothing to do with it, but who helps get us out of trouble. (Jean let him know, and quite right too). That's not what you want from a leader (which is probably why the captaincy was handed to Poku, who has a great attitude and commitment). Davies can open up a defence one minute, and put his own defence in all kinds of trouble the next, but I think the real problem is he thinks he's a bit too good for this level, and he needs a bit more humility. If he got this attitude sorted, he'd be one of the first names on the team sheet every week. Rather like Kynan Isaac.
I take Hedges' point about Hendo. He has a good attitude and it would be sad for us if he left.
