An interesting posting on the Tony Kempster Forum today saying: " I have it on good authority, that there will be no Oxford City sides in the Hellenic League next season. They will only be running one adult men's team in addition to the kids and ladies teams." Post#65 HERE. Always a lot of rumours flying around...but no smoke without fire??

Certainly not the vibe we got from the presentation evening. Lots of positivity and Craig saying he is looking forward to pushing on in the coming season.
Obviously lots going on behind the scenes but would be very surprised if their is any truth in that particular rumor.

I wonder if perhaps wires may be crossed somewhere and it could be the dev sides dropping out as Nomads seem to have several pre season friendlies lined up already and as Hedges says there was certainly no indication of that at the presentation evening

The 'rumour' is also on the Hellenic Forum, but glad to hear it's unlikely to be true. The Dev sides have generally done quite well, giving chances for the younger players to test themselves against stronger opposition than is met in the Allied Counties League, so it would be a bit of a shame to lose them both. Still, economic care is definitely vital to ensure continued progress.
