Another Signing tonight in David Pearce from Chesham United. A winger who has scored 50 goals for Chesham in his three seasons there. Scored 17 for Hemel Hempstead in the season they won the Southern Prem! Guri Demuria has agreed to sign on for next season, making it six of last year's squad so far committing for next term. I'm sure most saw, but the signing of Matt Paterson went viral on Friday night, mainly due to the location of the picture! 2,000 retweets and 3,600 likes so far, as well as a few articles popping up in various newspapers Daily Mail - Daily Mirror - Some other Newspaper...
Several big Twitter pages picked up on it - Paddy Power, Soccer Am etc. and replies from people such as Jake Humphrey as well as McDonald's themselves! Certainly good for the club to get a bit of coverage even if not for the most ideal of things, certainly not for any negative reasons though! Despite all this coverage in some national papers and on the BBC website, we probably still shouldn't be surprised that the Oxford Mail completely ignored it! |
