The vets finished their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Wantage Town. 1-0 down at half-time to a fantastic strike from Richard Bourne (SAFE Fleety?). 10 mins into the 2nd half, City were awarded a penalty after Paul Kimber was brought down, and after 16 years of hurt and various pizza adverts in between after his missed penalty at the Manor against Chelsea back in 1994, Mike Ford was given an opportunity to redeem himself, and duly obliged, sending the keeper the wrong way to secure a valuable point.
Team: Colin Fleet, Liam Carroll, Justin Lee, Robert Tutton, Julian Dark, Simon Pagano, Justin Merritt, Mike Ford, Mark Orlando, Paul Kimber, Paul Spittle. Subs: Mark Jennings, Paul Creed (NOT REQUIRED).
