Picked my brother up from just outside Hungerford and arrived in Chippenham early on a beautiful day. Got into the club house above the stand, nice and quiet to start with, then couldn't move when the crowd arrived  First fifteen minutes we played some lovely stuff, Chippenham never got a touch, then, yet again we went to sleep defensively. A cross into the box and panic ensues and I'm sure Henderson got the last touch into his own net. Second goal was even worse, a long throw allowed to bounce in the six yard box for an easy tap in, and the third, Henderson absolutely skinned by the Chippenham number 9 allowing him to hit the bye line, cross for another easy tap in. Yes Zac scored a screamer and yes Paterson is the league's joint top scorer with his 5th of the season, but in reality if we defend as we did we will never score enough goals, our defence really was that bad  |

We just...were. All 3 goals were preventable but, as you say, the second was by far the worst. We looked reasonable going forwards but we didn't really create much by way of clear cut chances and the efforts from range weren't exactly threatening. When we went 3-1 down a lot of us kind of gave up on the game because you really couldn't see us getting anything from open play. Even after the penalty went in we looked a bit toothless ad I think that was largely down to having so few options on the bench. Hirst came on and looked lively but a lot of lads were struggling a bit by that point. Even so, Hendo has had a chance to level it in stoppage time and its taken a superb save to keep him out. If that had gone in and Saturday's referee hadn't invented that Hendo headbutt we would be looking back on a very successful weekend. |

WLDL You mean 4 points in 4 games ? LDL 1 point in last 3 gaims and "amaizing" 11 goals, you have to be very "talented" and dedicated to achieve this result |

What I didn't mention in my original thread was the City supporters. They were amazing!! I was sat in the main stand with brother chatting to all the locals and they were loving the constant singing and banter, so hats off to the 10/15 souls who backed the team from start to finish!

Before Monday it was 4 points in 3 games (and actually 7 in 4). So, I ask again, do you think he picked the side after full time? |
