I still don't know how to feel about yesterday.
The first half was absolutely exceptional. On top of the 2 goals, Oxlade-Chamberlain should have scored with his head and also chose to take that wild shot when he had options square; Sinclair put one wide from 6 yards; and Zac volleyed into the ground from 12 yards. With those missed chances it seems fair to say we could (maybe should) have had 4 or 5 by the break.
The second we defended well for the most part. Navarro pulled off an incredible tackle on their 11 when he got in behind and whenever they got to the edge of our box they found 2 men in their way. The own goal was super unlucky, its a good ball in and he has a man coming in behind so he has to go for the header, and we responded to it better than I expected. But none of this makes up for how comparatively poor we were in the second half and the worst part is we all knew that would happen.

Great game of football, two sides actually trying to play a fast flowing passing game. First half was probably the best I can remember us playing for a long time, some brilliant moves. The young lad from Pompey had one or two exceptional runs and up front Paterson was like a rash - he battered and bullied their back line and scored an absolute beauty of a goal, we were unlucky not to be at least two goals better off. Second half ET really put a shift in, thought they raised their game and it we were on the back foot. Again, defensively we crumbled a bit second half, but saying that it was so much better than recent games. At 3-2 we should have closed the game out, and with a little bit of luck we could have pinched another. Really enjoyed it, but came away feeling we should have got all three points.

The first half most excellent, another day when players start to gel more up front it will be 4 or 5, don't forget Oxlaide-Chamberlin has only been in the side a couple of games. Second half defensively must agree much better but at times lack of comunication cost us we do seem to think job done at half time but we were playing at a furious pace, players now returning from injury/suspention i would expect improvement all around.

I'm a little confused I have to say as to there being 2 owns goals, there's definitely an own goal from Navarro (which tbf Stevens called for him to deal with and I think is a tad unfortunate)
But the other two goals were a worldy free kick & a header from their centre forward.

Jonah was mistaken. Try watching the game instead of just believing what you hear after it.

Actually there was some disagreement even amongst us travelling Rocks fans behind the goal as to weather it was our Lee Burns or your defender who headed in our third as they both went for the ball together. .. Burnsy told us He scored it, but then he would, wouldn't he.

How were the linos? Mate at Northampton on Sat said his mate from Billing (Npton) was running the line at City for this game!
