Now I know that historically we've struggled with crowds (and OU were home), but 125 is City's lowest at home in league or cup since March 2012 (SLP v Barwell attracted 120); and the gate for Nomads' FA Vase match (19) against Woodley was their lowest ever at home in any competition.
Let's hope some good results, and hopefully a good cup-run, will turn this around a bit, as the Club can undoubtedly do with considerably more through the gate.

We`re losing touch with reality and it`s terrifying Manager Mark Jones must change his style of vision if he wants to survive, he must bring in physically fit “Lucky” defenders who can defend

Once again a game with so many positives tainted by a couple of big negatives.
Grant's red was pure stupidity: he should know better and there should be consequences. Speaking to a few folks in the media box the free kick they scored from was a dubious one but Stevens' positioning was suspect and made it easy for the taker. I'd want to see the third again but at the time I thought the cross could and should have been dealt with but I may have been a bit overzealous there.
As for the positives there were a number of players who put a huge shift in. It was Paterson's constant harrying of their defence which led to their 5 getting sent off. Fleet broke up a huge amount of their play in midfield, Poku played 3 different positions over the 90 minutes and both of them scored good goals. Sinclair looked class again and Zac's goal was an absolute beauty.
Unfortunately we once again come out with a big headache in defence. Grant will be suspended for at least one game (if we even see him in a City shirt again) and Hendo could be out for a week or two. Poku will play center half but that would make for a fairly short back line and it still leaves us short of natural full backs. To me it makes sense to raid the Nomads for Saturday and give somebody a chance.

Yet again another entertaining game but one that left me infuriated at the end! I felt we were lazy, lazy in the first five minutes when we conceded a stupid goal, lazy throughout periods of the game where we played lazy passes, failed to put good balls into the box from great positions and lazy in not tracking back with their midfielders/attackers. We look really good going forward but last night I thought we lost the midfield battle at times were swamped leaving a back four constantly backing off - felt they were up for it more than us. Positive's, Zac's goal was a screamer. Paterson is fast becoming my favourite player, his determination, effort and desire (as well as his goal scoring ability) is something that many of the squad need to mirror - he just never gave up and chased and chased everything. Poku played all different positions throughout the night and did extremely well on a number of occasions to thwart the Weston attacks. Both red cards were correct. But Grant's was stupidity personified - don't know if we will see him again but when we are in the ascendency against 10 men and looking to put the game to bed you cannot put in wreckless, stupid challenges. Will keep saying it, we need a couple of massive no nonsense defenders. Desperate news about Bennett

Yes certainly some entertaining games recently, never boring down city!
First and foremost the pattern in matches is a reccuring theme, for last dozen games City for the most part we have started the first half of matches really well and have gone ahead and then seem to run out of steam at Half Time. Second half of matches the team look tired and lost there oomph. Last night despite Weston scoring early doors it was a repeat performance, for the mostpart we dominated after that goal but a freekick outside the box just before the break once again left with all to do. Matt Paterson once again doing so much running and uptop and for the mostpart is very isolated, hes got 7 goals, imagine if he had someone up with him!
Second Half despite Fleet doing well to pop up and net the equaliser on the half volley ( Hes turning into Darren Pond keep getting in good positions and netting goals for us from close range!). Even with the extra man Weston were the ones who looked more threatening and we kept staying off them and this a striking concern imo, how many times in matches we are not closing down the other team and standing off. When we get the ball the opposition are constantly on us, now this could be down to fitness levels or part of the the gameplan but an observation i have made. Godfrey Poku playing all over the place once again albeit thanks to combinations of Subs/Injuries/Sending Off. Zac and Sinclair certainly are very good technically players and played well again. Great strike from Zac for his great goal! Fleety had a good game again in the middle. We were lucky not to lose the match in the end, with Stevens making a terrific save into Injury Time when one on one.
Its not for the want of trying and i know the players are giving it there all. I'll take a draw in the end as we only let for 2 minutes all night and for the most-part Weston were the morel likely side, and City were second best for long periods of the game. The same team started again which is a slight problem in my opinion as the team have played the majority of matches in the opening 5 weeks of the season and look very tired especially when they go all out in first half of matches,i was expecting a few changes with Hendo back in and odd attacking change to add freshness but with players injured/suspensions and match fitness i suppose Jonah hands are tied as for me it is crying out for some changes. Cruel luck about Justin Bennett, and Hendo isn't exactly having the best time with it either. Onto Whitehawk and ££ up for grabs & The FA CUP a welcome break!

Idealy we need a big defender and a defensive midfielder who also can play centre half, i know of one at Didcot But i think he's happy there.
The gate issue two things, youths now have to pay addmission. United playing at home twice did not help.
