Well done to Nomads on a good win at Woodstock Town in the Senior Cup.
I noticed the attendance was given as 62. By comparison Thame got 61 for their SL fixture (they averaged 100+ when last in the SL), and Kidlington attracted a mere 53 for the SL local derby against North Leigh. If attendances continue in this direction I wonder how much longer some of our local sides will continue to play at this level (Step 4). They'll be better off slipping back to Step 5 (Hellenic) as did Wantage and Abingdon Utd.

Sorry, might be missing something and haven't checked but...are Nomads and Woodstock in a higher league than Abingdon Utd and Wantage???

Sorry, might be missing something and haven't checked but...are Nomads and Woodstock in a higher league than Abingdon Utd and Wantage??? Nomads at same level (now) as Abingdon/Wantage - who have now returned to the HL from the SL. Woodstock Town at Step 6. My point was about Thame/Kidlington/North Leigh probably being no worse off (better off?) financially if they fell back into the Hellenic rather than playing at Step 4. I wonder how much Wantage eventually spent to get their ground 'suitably' graded to reach the Southern League, only to find themselves back in the Hellenic after three seasons in the bottom three at Step 4? I wonder if the next round of FA reorganisation of the Pyramid (next season?) will force more clubs into unsustainable promotions?
