Me too! Will stop over in Hinckley...30 miles up the road. So many brilliant pubs in Nottingham, which is part of an away day surely!

I know a lot of people will want to talk about draws as being more or less 'winnable' than others but anything can happen in any tie and this one is no different. We did it once so why not again? Let's get everybody out of the woodwork and have fun going back up north for a change.

We will welcome you all to Meadow Lane for Round Two, but could you please describe our location as being in the Midlands or better still, in the East Midlands. "Up north" and you will have gone too farπ Thanks.

The National League seem to think we're in the north so I'm afraid you guys definitely have to count!

My brother doesn't live too far away from the meadow. Real ale bliss for Northampton exile prices reasonable as well looks very much like early Xmas visit if in invited. All Forest supporters aswell to boost away support.

Over here in Lincolnshire, we're nominally in the East Midlands, but rather to the east of anywhere else, and certainly not north! Greatly looking forward to visiting Meadow Lane which I have travelled past many times. I think it is only about 10-15 minutes walk from the railway station. Now we have broken our giant killing 'duck', City can do it again: we've made our mark, and have nothing to lose!

Yes, Nottingham is a brilliant city. Meadow Lane is indeed a 10-15min walk from the station. Out left, left again down past the station, where Hooters is on the corner...google it! πππ
Right along towards Trent Bridge, ground on the left.
Navigation pub at Meadow Lane is great for location and ales, though was pretty packed when I was last there! Further along towards Forest and Trent Bridge are a load of other bars and pubs - big craft ale bar (used to be the Aviary) next to the river.
Anyone coming by train...Canalside Bar, just 2 mins walk, right outta the station then left is brilliant! Swanky two floors, loads of real ales, continental beers and food! Further up Maid Marion's Way is Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem (oldest pub in UK at 1189?)...and a load more bars and pubs!

Is it possible to charter a train? Feel like we could fill a carriage or two for the trip.

In the 'old days' it was quite common for (big) clubs to charter trains for away-days. BR would use the most dilapidated coaches available as they were only too well aware what was likely to happen to them !!!!!

Sure OWHH has some tales of OCFC, Didcot away...and trains!
The thought of Oxford City and good ole seventies hooliganism has gotta be a better read than anything Clive Staples Whoever could come up with...Talking lions, pah!

Been to Hooters most excellent will no doubt be haunting the place again. Ah yes Swindon special in the 70s even the police were hiding under the seats not one window left unbroken. And I was only using it to do a bit of shopping. Never got past Didcot, mind you the shopping was rather good there as well

Fylde v Wigan is the televised game on the Friday night (FA website). No decisions yet on televising any other games as yet, as far as I can tell. Back to Fylde, when I typed it in, it came out as Folded! 8-1 is now forgotten...
