A decent performance again on what must be the biggest pitch in football!! It was as mahoosive π
They buzzed about the game but really got nowhere, Jack had one save that I can recall. Back four were excellent, Oastler βs reading of the game is excellent and he put in some brilliant tackles. Mo and Poku are real battlers and both were class. Pato ran himself into the ground, hit the post had one cleared off the line and caused a fight between their keeper and Captain after he had robbed the latter which gave Zac a great chance which the keeper got finger tips on. Ezra looked strong when he came on and Reece helped the midfield.
Again, a really good βteamβ performance. Bognor fans were a right bunch of moans ππ

We said on the way down in the car that we thought a point would be a useful result and so it turned out to be, although we could've nicked it at the death but for a fantastic save.
I think, like us, Bognor are not a bad side and probably in a bit of a false position. they always looked to get the ball down and play but seemed to be lacking a poacher, Jack had a fairly quiet evening which is probably as Shutler says, down to Poku-Mo being a really tough unit in the middle, we got into them several times with Oxlade-Chamberlain's pace causing problems but his final ball unfortunately let him down a few times.
Jonah seemed happy with the point, the lads have put in a real shift the last few games so did look perhaps a little bit 'leggy'.
Onto Hereford and a chance to give some game time to the likes of Jones, Forde and Tutton who have been incredibly patient, Hereford will likely rest some players too with us both having Fa Cup ties the following week, so it should make for an interesting battle

For me, last night was the clearest demonstration yet of the role Mo is playing in this upturn in form. He has been the perfect foil to Gods in terms of both protecting the back 4 and playing those simple, calm balls out. The fact he is keeping Reece Fleet, who has been excellent off the bench the last two games, out of the side shows how much impact he is quietly making.

Hereford have a big enough squad, maybe, to do it, but ours is small and this is a tough match. We are probably the underdogs. Hereford are flying in the Southern Premier, where they have the best defence and second best attack. They have a huge following, larger than many in the National Premier, and have yet to lose an away game this season. They will turn Court Place Farm into virtually a home venue. They are strong promotion, maybe even championship candidates and already have players with plenty of league experience. I see from their website they have just signed another who played over 100 times for Bristol Rovers. Like us, as Padz says, they are still in the FA Cup. But they won't make Colchester's mistake of underestimating us and I don't think they'll let the Fleetwood game affect them: their players know they have to compete for their places in that match. And what could be better preparation than to win another cup match away to a higher-placed team a week before the big one? So, City will have to be at their best to beat them.

Have to agree with this. It would indeed be a shame for players to pick up an injury on Saturday and have to miss the visit to Nottingham for what OWHH might term 'our Cup Final', but the club also needs a run in the Trophy to stabilise its finances and anything less than a very strong side would probably see them fall at the first hurdle against tough opposition.

Saturday would be nice to win but the Notts County game is the holy grail!! Fully expect to rest the likes of Poku, Paterson, Oastler, Sinclair etc we have a minesculent squad in comparison to 95% if teams in this league so must give the lads a chance to recharge when we can.
Iβm sure the lads stepping up will give a good account of themselves ππ
