Anyone worried that we may lose some of our players?
Do we have the finances to bring any new faces to the squad?
Worried 😧

I think we need to focus on the job on the field at the moment. Keep the run going we have no power over anything else. We are paying off a huge debt Justin doing a great Job off the field and Jonah and coaching staff focusing on continuing the unbeaten run, the players are giving everything some would play with an injury if they were allowed. Superb effort during cup run great memories they have given us and added to club history! Moving further up the table would be a great achievement and who knows the whole table is tight A few wins and your snapping at the heals of the top seven.

We probably will lose the loanees, but that was always to be expected. As for the others, I think they'll stay till the end of the season and see what sort of contract they are offered for next year, or whether a bigger club is showing an interest. That is more likely for younger players who should go on and develop further, than for those at or just over their peak. But I really hope that this year, we can keep most of them. Continuity helps. Part of the trouble in the early stages of this season was that we had so many new faces. It takes time for them to gel, and for the manager to work out his best formations and playing style with those players. We didn't quite get it right in September and injuries/suspensions didn't help, right through October. By that stage we were in relegation waters and despite our recent improved form, reaching the play-offs is a big ask, probably too much to expect.

What worries me is that we really only have 13/14 players who are 'first team'. If we lose one or two in the transfer market then we only have the bare bones of a team - seeing 'newsnow' reports (like below) gives me the jitters, because contracted or not if players are in their last few months they are allowed to talk to other teams. Add to that any injuries and I fear the worst! www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/12/07/por-interest-mounts-in-former-southampton-striker-paterson/

I think talk of league 1 and 2 clubs being interested is just a work of fiction most probably, in any case he is on contract with us so anybody sniffing around would be expected to pay for him.
Difficult for us to bring in players with our financial situation but would be good to see some cover that can play across the majority of defensive positions, Luke Carnell would be my ideal target.

Didcots captain Adam Learoyd would do nicely, but I don't think Andy Ballad would see it that way and wouldn't want to upset a City legend. But he's proven at this level, in my opinion Fordy kept him on the Bench too often.

Plus 1 for Adam, doubt he would be interested as he is a high flyer at Rolls-Royce and probably wouldn't want to put that in jeopardy.
Rob Sinclair as well, I have been informed (reliably) the club have had some 'decent' offers for Sinclair, Presumably Justin along with Lyons would be calling the shots on the financial/transfer matters and has swiftly brushed them away knowing full well we can't afford to lose any of our 1st 11......if they came back with bigger offer though....who knows.
Think Stevens stay will be extended, Im not sure Ox would be a great loss if he went, a failed experiment to convert him to a right back and now even he is looking somewhat disinterested.....based on his shambolic performance on saturday.
Speaking of disintrested, anyone else think Pato's body language has changed this last couple of games....Understandable frasturation?....inevitable dip in form?.....having head turned and wanting out?.....Can't say I would blame him to be fair and wouldn't be surprised if we did lose him.
This is one of those times the transfer close date can't come soon enough.

I don’t see any disinterest from Pato, he worked his b*llocks off against Gloucester, he’s playing as a lone striker and from personal experience it’s an incredibly thankless role if you have a game or two where you don’t score, it’s a tiring role as you are working an entire back 4 and can at times be feeding on scraps when people are expecting you to do about 10 different things, hold the ball up, beat the man and score, he’s not Superman and I think to suggest he looks disinterested is a bit of an insult to him to be honest.
Rob Sinclair is on a two year contract, wanted to go part time and seems fairly content at City so I think it would take a big offer for him to want to leave.

This is one of those times the transfer close date can't come soon enough. I didn't think there was a 'transfer window' at Step 2...just nothing after March 31st. Not entirely sure, though.

Disinterested is perhaps the wrong choice of words. And He is working hard in a thankless task and has been bloody good at it (Even if it probably wasn't what he signed up for!). But the last couple of games off the ball his body language hasn't looked 'right'.. ..not the same as earlier in the season. If it's frasturation it's completely understandable and hopefully things will get better.....maybe he will get a strike partner at home occasionally to take the pressure off. Might even be simply under the weather. But we shall see come what may. Is he travelling from the south coast every game? That alone would drive me Barmy... Also no transfer window but our best players will only move upwards and of EFL clubs are out of the eqiasion that leaves just the national league clubs to shout hands off to.

With Pato believe me its frustration he still gutted about hitting the post against Hampton. The mans a professional and is focused on scoring. Wasn't at Evesham as all lifts were full. A national coach would of got me in at 420pm after a Five hour journey... And believe me I thought about it, but there was no way back.
Sinclair another work horse dedicated to the team. We have had many players go on to better things the more they score the better they play the more they and city will receive in a fee. If we can't get anyone in I would like to see Colins on the bench his bought of scoring for the nomads deserves a place alongside Force and they will learn much from the seniors.
