Excellent all round team display, thought to a man we were outstanding.
Hemel were so disappointing, and we made them pay with some fast, flowing attacking football. Sinclair and Paterson had them tied up in knots at times very ably supported but a much better balanced midfield, Poku in particular was just everywhere. Defence was outstanding and goal apart completely dominated, Oastler and Stevens winning everything.
If anything we could have scored more but at times both Zac and Ox are guilty of holding the ball for too long or not picking the right option, both however put a real shift in and created loads.
Motm, definitely Godfrey P, monster 😀

Well done to Sam Nombe on his debut. Clinical goal. And also Craig King in goal great communication with defence. All the team performed well. Obviously would have liked them to have played with 11 men but the referee made the decision, and we have been on the receiving end of reds so its about time It went our way, Although to be honest we were already on top Of things and looked more like the team of old during the cup run. We went on an unbeaten run then, how nice it would be to replicate that for the rest of the season. Confidence is back the loan signings looked very comftable and confident also looked very fit as they have come from professional clubs that train 5 days a week. Well done Freddie Grant was everywhere put in 110% if that is possible

Yes, much to admire here as our youngsters outplayed Hemel's more experienced outfit, though of course the sending off affected it. I was impressed with the loanees Frankie and Sam, hope they can keep that up. Thought we were all very good for the first and last 20 minutes, much more direct in our attacking than in recent matches, using the wings more and getting shots away.
In the middle we did take our foot off the pedal and had a few sloppy moments, lots of passing backwards and sometimes getting caught in possession. It would probably have pleased the fans more if we had gone for the jugular when 2-0 up and pressed with continued intensity to do to them what Dartford did to us -- would help our goal difference. But the game plan seemed to be to let them tire out and then hit them on the break in the closing stages, in which case it worked well.
Pato was looking a bit jaded. I guess playing up front on his own in nearly every match, plus the travelling is taking its toll. He is still putting in a shift, but has lost some of his sharpness around the area. Still think he needs a partner up there, someone who would benefit from the many flick-ons and headers he wins.
We had several booked -- is anyone going to be suspended now?
On a different note, I have lost confidence in the National League website attendance figures. I thought ours was less in reality than the 358 claimed yesterday (maybe there's a turnstile problem?) but that pales in comparison to the inaccuracy at East Thurrock. According to the website, their match with Eastbourne was the best attended fixture this year, with a fantastic 1769 turning up out of the blue yesterday at a ground where the usual attendance is similar to ours, under 300. Yet one glance at the match video shows the ground to be mostly empty!

Excellent result...just what was needed. And good to boost the goal-difference too: first time since Boxing Day '16 we've scored four in the League, I think.

Yes indeed, and we had an interesting debate behind the goal about when we last went 2-0 up. I was very lucky to have made the journey down on Saturday to see such a fine performance: we could easily have scored another two or three. Hemel were simply not coping with us.

...and Frankie Musonda wins a place in the National League South 'Team of the Weekend', with Rob Sinclair on the bench.

Hemel were simply not coping with us. 2-0 up at Home would of been against Truro City, when we won 3-1 back on Tues Dec 5th. We went 2-0 up at Hungerford back in January but obviously that was away from home.
