So a short trip to play the Tudors at Hemel Hempstead Town. Fifth time we'll have have been drawn against them in the FAC.

More than happy with this one tbh, we did everything but score an equaliser there a fortnight ago, if not for Walker putting in an inspired performance.
Nice and local for us, would be good to try and get a coachload over there, the ground lends itself favourably to making noise which could really give us a lift to push us into Round 1

I can't feel confident about a game against Hemel, but then I was pessimistic about Dartford as well. At least it's very travelable- surely a time to get a coach sorted.

Let's hope Laurie doesn't have his game of the season again. And we have last Saturday's defence fully fit, to choose from no injuries please we owe them one. Obviously neither side would have wanted to face each other, but it could be worse, and they will be favourites with the home draw. Pressure on them not us.

Good luck in the game on Saturday lads,I shall be looking out for the result and hope that it you make it into the draw on Monday but I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that we don't get drawn against you again if you do,OC was very unlucky last season not to get a replay

Thanks Chalky. We wouldn't mind paying you again, especially if drawn at home--it would be like the replay we so nearly earned last year. But we do have the small problem of overcoming the Tudors first, which may not be easy for a team which hasn't won away yet this season. One game at a time!

If you get through and you are in the hat on Monday and you get drawn at home....you will be able to hear my intake of breath from Oxford until the away team gets pulled out,you was very unlucky last year and deserved at least a replay, tbh we've dropped to bits since last season and are very beatable,we've only just got out of the bottom two
Good luck on Saturday

Look out for Ball 66 in Monday's draw on TV: not that there's any pre-hatching chicken-counting going on here!

Yep, a good result. Looked from the HH Twitter that the Hoops were doing most of the pressing. Good luck on Tuesday.

Good substitutions helped. Just before that we were drifting a bit. We gave away a poor goal defensively, after defending well up to that point, but Craig Fasanmade was very lively and made a real difference. Hope he starts on Tuesday. Overall a sound performance in a tight and tense match as expected. Only minus was the four bookings. Joe and Zac deserved theirs (though there was no need of either, especially Zac's) but what on earth were the other two about? I couldn't see what Craig King did wrong, and Luke Ruddick was off the pitch warming up when he got a yellow! Just hope no-one is close to a suspension at this crucial stage of the season...

Luke Ruddick was off the pitch warming up when he got a yellow! Just hope no-one is close to a suspension at this crucial stage of the season... Ruddick was apparently spat at by one of their lads and reacted earning a booking, referee obviously missed the initial spot and just saw the reaction

Noticing the OC Tweet saying that the only other time City/Hemel have drawn in the FAC, City won the replay at the WH 4-2, you could add that City have only played at home against HH twice in the cup, and they scored four goals on both occasions (4-3 in 1962 and 4-2 in 1964). So a high-scoring win on Tuesday???
