Sad to learn of the death of City Legend John Woodley
In a time where the term legend is thrown about to all and sundry there is a man who truly is deserving of the label.

Definitely a legend! Over 400 goals in 903 first team appearances for City and he turned down several offers to turn pro elsewhere. It was a pleasure to see him play. RIP Sir Jack.

Such sad news: all our thoughts are with his family and friends. R.I.P.

Enjoyed watching Jack at the Whitehouse back in the 70-80s. Never backed out of a challenge, a real Rock, and example to City players of the future... RIP

What a legend, and an example to all strikers! I remember him from his earliest appearances in the late 1950s, but perhaps the most memorable was the cup match against Bristol Rovers in 1966 when his header late on in the game looked to be going in for a win, but was cruelly denied by the crossbar! RIP
