I'd settle for a draw - I think they will do well this season

Team News: - Craig Mcilwain OUT (hamstring)
- Beechers & Ashton available
- Familiar face in Chesham's side is Mark Lambert
I'm guessing we'll see the same side as Saturday with either Ballard at CB & James Knight at RB, or Ballard RB with Ashton CB I'll take a 1-0 win in what will be a tricky game.

Start with Janes and Lyon on the wings, with Sandy and Beechers upfront.
Can't say Lyon really shone as a target man, and would be good to see Sandy on the last defender from the start. Heard good things about Beechers so if he's available lets go with him.
Brooksy and Burgess from the bench if we need to find a goal.

Shambles......
Probably the worst performance ive seen city put in, though ive only been watching them the last couple of seasons so im sure some of you guys have seen even worse...for that I feel very sorry for you.
Players seemed Dispondant, tired, weary really didn't wnat to be there, probably the atrocious weather.....hope all of you made it home through all the floods safe!......
Chesham were full of energy, closed city down, made some excellent attacking moves which city had no answer to. Even when we went 2-0 down and nothing to lose all our play was negative, passing back to the centre halves or Knighty....who instantly kicked it out...straight to a Chesham player and it came back again ....even Savage the staple of city build up play normally was selling people short...City couldn't string 2 passes together and Sandy and Janes never saw the ball...I think I could count Sandy's touches on my fingers he saw so little of it...City created 1 single solitary chance of note all game, and that was Beechers 1v1 with a defender before blasting it over, there keeper could have almost read a book while standing between the sticks he had so little to do.
Just to make matters worse Ballard was stretchered off and taken to hospital, any official word on this?....
Only good things are that we only lost by 2, there striker missed an absolute sitter,so much space in the box he could have chested it then hit it, taken any touch he wanted and then put it in the net, but instead opted to head it over from 6yards...and several one on ones with Knighty who did well to keep them out....
Oh and of course its only the 2nd game of the season and by all accounts city are a side which tends to make a slow start (5 league games before a win last season?) so,nothing to worry about, right?...
Ona side note anyone else notice the 'Phil Brown' approach at the end of the game...fordy had the city players sit on the pitch for what im sure was a 'motivational team talk'....he himself getting more irate as the game went on, his jacket came off early in the second half and you could see his face getting redder and redder with frasturation from where I was stood, behind the goal.

re: Ballard injury, medial ligament damage, probably 3/4 weeks out
I'll try and comment on the game tomorrow, not that there was really much to comment on!

I totally agree I mean they've had 2 whole league games to gel! Sack the manager bring in 11 new players because if not we are doomed!! Lucky there are "brilliant" local sides like Banbury and brackley that we can follow instead of this because after 180 (yes that's all) minutes I can also say this is the worst city side I've ever seen News boy

Look at Brackley...
They've bought a team that on paper could probably do a decent job in the conference and look what they've done in their first 2 games. That team should be weeing on everyone they play against but they've exactly the same as us - a home draw and an away loss.
Every season we go through the same discussion...
Wait until we're more games in before forming a true opinion of the team.
