I hope that Brooksie and Olly's departure was exspected and wasn't the result of the fall-out of Tuesday night....
Good Luck to them both anyhow.
Though the signs here are ominous...in my opinion ...the problem I felt last season was our squad was being switched round far to much, when never had the same 11 players play week - in - week out and althought its tough especially at this level due to players working, injuries and small squads Id still like to see the vast majorirty of the same players each week.
We now have another 3 new players in the squad for this weekend, Ok forget Tuesday and say the squad was gelling, presumably this weekend we can exspect a similar result since we've been forced to bring in another 3 players, unfamiliar with the current city squad, who of course need to gel....see the problem?
Regardless of result, expecting a better performace tomorrow.

Changing the squad so early into the season is just bizarre. OK to bring in loan players to cover for injuries but to jettison Brookes and Burgess after just two games for a loan player ( albeit a good one ) looks odd to an outsider not. Especially given the impact Brookes had against Bedford when he came on
Our loss someone elses gain no doubt.

Burgess threw his shirt off when subbed at Chesham so maybe his decision to go?
Brookes, a luxury player if were honest & with Lyon,Janes,Beechers, a returning Mark Bell, Barcelos & Harding were not exactly short of wingers

mike ford has done well to bring these players in, harding was terrific last season, and can SCORE GOALS, thats what we need, he has bundles of creativity and flair, can play wide, central, behing the front man, so a real good signing, the other two sound great aswell. im sure we will produce a performance tomorow.

Harding admittedly looked good last season but it sounds like he is here only for one month. Apart from him I would much rather watch Brookes than any of the other named players, although I do like Lyon as well. I want to be entertained for my 9 pounds !
Every squad need players who can change games, open defences, show some creative spark. City are in danger on becoming workmanlike if Harding doesn't stay ( unless Bell really steps up to his potential, and that is a risk ). This usually equals mid-table ( and dull football )
Janes has gone backward since the glories of Burton and Beechers didn't make much impact in the half dozen Abingdon Utd games I saw last season, mainly due to not realising he had 10 team mates on the pitch. Maybe this will change this season playing with better players ?? i hope so....

What a shambles two games into the season and you eject two players and then find you do not have enough players to make a team and you have to go and get some on loan ,i know we have injuries but what happens when the loan period is up .The fans like to see a little bit of constancy or even local players

At least Mills and Hector have squad numbers at Reading, which is more than Harding has !

I may have missed a post or message as I have been on hols, but I see Alex Fischer is listed as a player on the main website, but no mention of him playing at all in any managers notes etc.
Is he in the squad?
