If we have had a weakness this season it has been that sometimes we have failed to produce a performance at home against mid-table opposition, or we play quite well but do not get the result that our domination merits. Neither of those applied today: it was a very efficient performance rewarded with a hatful of goals, even if it took us until the end to get the scoreline reflecting our control of the possession.
Credit to Tonbridge: they did work hard to keep us out after going down to ten men, albeit at the cost of sacrificing adventure and punch up top; and we were possibly a little too willing at times to play in front of their massed ranks rather than seeking to penetrate behind. But we got there in the end, and the goals have helped our goal difference relative to Dartford, who had a good win today. A good debut for O'Donkor from United; for a 17-year-old he looked strong and he took his goal well. Many other solid performances. Harry Kyprianou stood out after coming on at half time and he and George Harmon were always a menace down the left. Joe seems tireless and deserved his goal for his persistent running. Good to see young Ewan Clarke get off the mark too: he is an exciting prospect for next season. Zac was almost untouchable at times in the second half; he can make sound defenders look quite laboured and pedestrian when he is like that.

Good to see Banbury doing so well this season: they certainly should make it to Step 2. If City stay at Step 2 maybe there'll be a local derby again in National North next season!!
