Playing Plymouth Parkway in the FA Trophy, having already played them in the FA Cup, is really rather unusual: City have never played the same team in the FA Trophy (or FA Vase) in the same season as they've played them in the FA Cup. However...
back in the 1956/1957 season City played Maidenhead United in the FA Cup and then in the FA Amateur Cup. And even further back, in the 1901/1902 season, City played Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup and then in the FA Amateur Cup!
I wonder how many other clubs this has happened to, statistically it must be rather an unlikely occurrence?
