Thanks, Clive, for a very informative report. (I think I too was at that Southern League game all those years ago.) Yes, City obviously missed Parker today but also came up against a pacy, well-organised and hard-working team who have also been in good form this year and I agree they do look like play-off candidates, provided they don't run out of steam playing those games in hand. They would have won by more today if Canice Carroll had not stopped them on several occasions. The substitutions of the new boys came too late to make a difference. Freddie Grant's dives were pretty obvious to all the nearby fans - I thought the ref was too easily conned today and they made the most of it. But overall, no complaints about the result: the better team on the day won.

Thanks for that, Clive, always good to read a detailed account of a City match. I think we surprised them a bit that day back in 2009 (Andy Ballard in the team that day I noticed.) Bit of a yo-yo team Farnborough, but they seem to on the way up again at the moment.
